Increasingly I am finding myself reading posts on various forums (including this one) , probably from Europeans, written in very poor pigeon English. Something along the lines of,

Bookie make the theft from my monies

This is a fraud making by bookie

Blah blah blah blah, sure you get the idea.

Anyway , I am an impatient man, but I do not speak any other language, so I am not one to critique others for attempting what I am too lazy to bother with, plus there's not much point learning these double dutch languages these days as anyone worth anything generally speaks English.

However, my point of contention about pigeon English on English speaking forums is thus.

I dont try and converse on non English forums in pigeon German, or any other dieing language for that matter , so why do they insist on doing it on English forums? Why don't they go on their language versions of the same topic?

My other point of contention is because they have such poor English , quite often they come across as rude or arrogant.

I realise that you Yanks dont find it easy to speak English correctly and tend to speak the basic dumbed down version of American English , but at least understanding you is no more difficult than understanding a child, and you generally come across as polite which helps. Take JJ for example, nice enough chap if you can keep him off the booze , but hardly a linguistic genius , but at least he makes an effort, and thats what these pigeon English speakers need, more effort before they press the "submit new thread" button.

How the hell Bill et al put up with the moaning emails from the hard done by is beyond me.

I realize (realise) UK and USA English have some different spellings for the same word. I am wondering about your use of "dieing". This spelling is in my dictionary as part of def of "die" related to metalwork, etc. For the "die" you are using, only "dying" is given. Is this an error by you or is my dictionary not accurate concerning UK usage?

I think most people on here realise by now that Jamie is not to be taken too seriously in some of his more controversial viewpoints.
He delights in winding up American forumites, and is fond of promoting the virtues of the U.K. to the point of stubborness.
There is no disputing his patriotism, as portrayed with his avatar of Jordan displaying the Union Jack, but he can sometimes prove to be an embarrassment to his compatriots.
