Ron Paul fund raising day
Anyone else catch this one.
I see offshore gambling backer Ron Paul is having a big "donation day" on December 16th.
http://www.teaparty07.com/
I think he just might be our only shot at reversing that B.S. law they implemented last year.

This could be a good investment but odds say most likely not. I am still donating.

I like Paul, but he's got little to no chance. Dubya has likely screwed the proverbial pooch as far as anyone from Texas taking up residence at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave for many years to come.

Ron's actually from Pennsylvania Willie (if the lack of a Texas draw didn't give it away), and relocated to Texas for medical practice purposes. Nonetheless, I don't think there's a soul that has heard him speak for over a minute that would ever confuse him for Dubya. I switched parties to Republican in order to vote for him, and would encourage everyone else to do the same. Hillary, Obama, and Edwards are far more gutless and against personal freedoms than Paul. Let's do the best we can, as even if we can come remotely close we're sending a message....

Yeah, I know he's not a native Texan, but then, neither was Dubya nor his dad and I don't think many will ever think of them otherwise. The fact Paul is a politician from Texas will hurt him thanks to George and Barbara's boy.

Ron Paul will likely not be elected, but will be an excellent spokesperson for personal freedoms, including less restrictive gaming laws, over the next year. That, in itself, will be valuable, and probably worth the contribution.

The status quo media and old guard republican party are doing a number on Paul!
The republicans are polling and when they call you, they go through each candidate by name as to who you most likely would vote for and Paul is relegated to being lumped in as other.
Then the slanted polls don't take into consideration that Paul appeals to the younger cell phone owning only crowd and those people can't be polled so his poll numbers look bad.
One negative about Paul which was on the Alex Jones show yesterday is that his supporters at certain rallies and gun shows have been imposing themselves in isles and in other vendors selling space and people that might vote for him are being turned off by the way his campaign workers behave.Paul will have to find a way to rein them in a wee bit.
I think the guy has a chance to get the republican nomination even though the republicans would just assume dispose of him before or after it happens. He will probably lose the nomination due to lots of these ugly tactics the republicans have been playing on him and if that's the case,he damn better run as a 3rd party libertarian candidate. All these people putting so much faith in the guy and supporting him the way they are would be furious if he calls it quits after losing the first big primaries.

He will have an impact regardless of how much he loses by. The bought politicians aren't sure how to handle the new breed of voters... bloggers, Diggers, Youtubers and it's working to Pauls advantage. Anyone who has something outside the lines and original to say are getting attention. The Digg, and soon Google, "social news" that is gaining on the commercial outlets like CNN and Fox is having the same effect on elections. Youtube created the RP revolution IMO.

no offence to anyone, but i think it's pretty sad that people are basing their presidential decision based on what appears to be solely because of his stance on online gambling.
sbrjohn, bill, and others who's careers are in online gambling, i can totally understand...but other rec gamblers'....c'mon guys.

My interest in the Ron Paul campaign is because he is doing it with viral marketing. It's a measure of how powerful the new internet makes the public. I would have to admit I'm not yet familiar enough with the positions on the issues to make a personal choice.
It's natural for speculation on their position on gambling to happen in a gambling forum.

I can't believe that Fox News has excluded Ron Paul from participating in the last debate the weekend before the primary election begins.

Any contributions to Ron Paul, at this point, are a waste of money. No way he climbs to the top of the Republican race. No way in hell. (Even though he may be the best candidate)

Lots of first time voters coming out for Paul. I think how good he does will be a measurement on the reach of the internet. If he has any kind of showing from voters it will change politics forever IMO.
It would be hard for a Romney to spend 18 mil of his own cash next election if internet candidates can throw races out of wack.

I can't believe anyone depends on any real news from Fox at all. Paul's as much a thorn in the GOP's side as any challenger on the Democrat side, maybe more than any Dem. A good showing (top 3 or so) in both Iowa and New Hampshire would be nice.

Ron Paul and his supporters feel confident about Iowa.
I do agree with his main focus about bringing the troops home, and start taking care of our own more.
