I have no use for it, but if other people want it, then you should do it.

I can't see where I would ever use it but I have no particular reason to vote no and work against someone who might like it.

So I guess I abstain with those comments.

SBR Odds has lines for Vegas, so I think we should have a forum as well. I vote yes.

what ruins forums is too many rooms, mods start moving everything all around and the main forum starts to become dead.

    Dany,

i am stun to see how much negativity is coming from the SBR membership hierarchy, aside from the moderators they are all against it.Only the proletarians like myself seem to want it.Looking at the poll so far most seems to be in favor of the Vegas proposition expansion .I really believe Dany that if you could have some knowledgeable people to put out legitimate information on the site it would only add to the richness of this incredibly informative website that SBR IS.Imagine if we could have a Vegas thread that would be just like SBR's offshores sportsbook ratings, with reviews from the the front office and testimonies from the members.Maybe you could even get in touch directly with guys like : Dave Tuley,Kenny White,John Kelly,Fezzik,Lefty Rosenthal,Axel Freed or Jeff Haney even dare i say Dave the meatman Scandaliato(maybe not)ask them to join under their real name and post article on the site.It is my understanding that these guys want to change Vegas back to where it was ,one could make them understand that a forum that as SBR reach, influence and importance would be the best way to make this a reality. If the general public are directed, encourage and made aware of the few remaining books in Vegas that are worthy of their patronage,it would force the rest to follow...just a thought.

Id like to see it. There is usually a lot of questions on LV sportsbooks in regards to free drinks, where to watch games, limits , comping etc...Those answers can be pinned there by people who have the correct answers.

I vote yes, and then you should get John LeGayfield to Mod it. After all he is the KING of vegas and sportsbetting. Just ask him.

Good idea to have all Vegas info in one place. Most of us don't live there, but who never visits?

I would think if it's 50/50 they'd say, "Well some people seem to think it would be a good idea--so why not?"

I voted No. As it stands this forum is about the issues particular to betting offshore. If you try to make it a bigger tent the site is bound to seem less focussed.

I think it would be a added touch to the forum. Another section for a different person. With the way the Offshore Industry is now for the USA, it couldn't hurt. To show those out there what Vegas has to offer.

It will be a missed opportunity because SBR can grow new membership and increase site traffic by cultivating this area that currently does not exists in the SBR portfolio / product offerings.

Specifically, the reviews of Las Vegas sportsbooks, betting limits, sports betting contests / advertising, membership experiences, and any information / knowledge sharing that is beneficial to SBR members.

Regardless of the final outcome, I do appreciate this opportunity to share my thoughts. Thanks.
No problem sir.. After all fair is fair in regards to the idea being mentioned first.

I feel your correct from both sides of the fence though. Great potential if done correctly.

if legal online gambling is to achieve a foothold in the u.s.a, the state of Nevada and the casino industry there, particularly Vegas, will be the ones making a push for it. A link between this forum with it's many intelligent, mature members and the pro-online factions in Vegas could be useful in making the argument that there are hard working, patriotic citizens, who desire to have this gaming choice. Perhaps a Vegas room here will be a beginning towards some political clout for sbr members.

The poll is closed? I would have voted yes. I recently moved to Vegas. I spent a lot of time searching online for things such as parlay card odds at the various casinos to no avail. I was shocked that I was unable to find it. It makes a huge difference if you put $50 on a 10 teamer at MGM/Mirage (700:1) or at Poker Palace (900:1). That's a $10k difference if you get lucky enough to hit it. Information like that would be extremely useful...

You might consider calling it a Nevada forum. Some of us get to Reno or Tahoe more often than Vegas. There may be reason to include northern Nevada in the discussion and in the title. Just a suggestion. Either way, though, I sorta like the idea.

I don't know if it's where you got the idea from, but Co****.com created a Las Vegas forum a couple of months ago. In over two months they've had a grand total of 13 threads started in the section, none with more than a dozen responses, and half of the threads are about Mississippi, Atlantic City, or other worldwide gaming destinations.

I think if you're going to start up a section it should just be entitled "gaming destinations" or something of the sort, and even then I think the section will be completely dead. Just as Matchbook tries not to put out any lines that won't have any action, I would advise not to start a subforum with little promise. Just my 2 cents and maybe it will flourish somehow...

I look no where but main forum, the rest of this site is trivial.
