    There is no such thing. Even if you get a hacked number, Microsoft site will know and you will not be able to download the service packs. If you forgot your number, there is a way to find it in your registry, but if you just need a working number, you can get an OEM version for under 100 bucks. It's just easier with a real number IMO.

    dont think thats true, I have a cracked version of XP and I can get the updates just fine.

    Yeah the hot fixes you can, can you download the "service packs"? It's different from the hot fixes.

    Just download a cracked copy, then you'll need to disable automatic updates (mostly useless and invasive), and you may need a tweak for SP2 to keep the windows validation tool from expiring.
