I've always made it a habbit on boards to click on my username in posts, and then click on view recent posts, in order to check if anyone responded to me, or asked me any questions from the previous day. It just makes it easier for me to see what I post on. But...When I click on anyone's username here, I get this msg...

ChuteBoxe, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?

If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Do I need a certain number of posts or anything to view this?

Oh, and how do I PM someone? Under Welcome ChuteBoxe, You have last visited...I don't see an Inbox like most other forums. Am I just a moron that can't find it? Or do I not have that feature yet?

No 'newbies' are receiving PM privileges at this time, chuteboxe. That aspect of the site is being restricted. We have not established any hard post minimums or time minimum to get the PM feature. After a few months here, shoot me an e-mail (willie[at]sbrnewsdesk[dot]com) and we'll get you hooked up. This is being done in order to protect SBR posters from the scammers and spammers that come in and start PMing offers.

The system is also set to NOT give PMs to any new registrant who shares an IP with any previous member, and it will NOT allow PMs to be added for a user who doesn't confirm their e-mail address at some point after registering. All new sign-ups are receiving a personal e-mail from SBR (not the vBulletin system-generated type), and will need to reply to that e-mail in order to maintain an unrestricted account.

Not sure why you can't view other member profiles. There isn't anything I can see that would prevent you from being able to do that. Try dumping your cache and logging back in to see if that might help. If it continues, let me know and I'll look deeper into that.

Ok, no problem. That's very reasonable. Spammers and Scammers suck. As far as the IP, I have nothing to worry about there. And I confirmed my email address by emailing you after thanksgiving, right? Or do I have to do something else? Anyways, I'm going to try clearing my cache in a few min for my first problem, I'll let you know how it works out. Thanks for the prompt reply.

Nope, don't have to do another thing but enjoy yourself posting. Glad the cache-clearing helped with the other problem.
