I only play live. From reading player reviews of the sportsbooks, the most common complaints have nothing to do with the sportsbook aspect. Many of the complaints are players either feeling cheated at the black jack table, or players feeling cheated at the poker tables. I can't see any reason why poker software would be designed to give an advanatge to one style of play over another. OR why any poker site, would have any desire to cheat one player, and assist another. But the bottom line is, if I have a pair of pocket aces and lose to a 2-7 off suit, if the game is live, while I'm upset, I won't feel cheated. WHere if its online, I'll always wonder in the back of my mind, is there something about the software, that in an effort to make the game more exciting, it creates situations where players with weak hands ultimately beat players with strong starting hands.

Usually live tourneys, though sometimes at Bodog.

I'm up for a tourney. Maybe someone that works at SBR can figure out how to pull one together? In fact, why don't we get America'sCard Room to sponsor the thing?

Well I just spoke to them and they (ACR) say they are in! By Monday we could possibly have a regular weekly thing.

Is that kind of the idea? Actually what is the idea?

We can see what they offer but does anyone have any suggestions as to what they might like to see from a weekly/monthly SBR Poker tourney?

You would have to get through me first, but that would awesome if SBR had a poker room.

OK good. Ought be something we could do with SBRPoker. How about our own poker room?

If AmericasCardRoom will throw us a bone then let's play! They are a great SBR sponsor.

Someone set it up and lets rock-an-roll!

ACR is a weak online cardroom. I stick to Pokerstars, PartyPoker, and UB. Though, I have some cash in Bodog and play the 109 weekly, which usually has a nice overlay.

Owned well lets give them another try (hint: they are a top SBR sponsor) plus, we will be playing for some free cash.

I actually play fairly high stakes and in the past when I was playing lower, I gave ACR and their skins like Fabulous a shot, and didn't really like it, to be honest. But willing to play in a small little one for kicks with the people on this forum.

Online poker has drastically decreased. The poker craze is over, still a fairly popular game in casinos, ect but no where like it use to be. I see it dropping more in the next 3 years where only the big poker houses remain.

I play at a local casino... was absolutely killing them, but I don't have enough income to weather a storm, so I had to take a break unfortunately... can't wait til I can afford to play again.

Easy to check it out with poker software, once you have lots of hands check your AA vs whatever showdown record (I did for pacific, and every combo I could think of checked out pretty much exactly as chance would predict)

AA will lose vs 72o bout 12% of the time btw, so not that uncommon. It just seems to happen too much as there are so many fish who will go to showdown with trash, whereas more competent players wouldn't call against AA's big raise so you simply never see that scenario.
