Thumbs down I have a gambling problem

I can only bet on favorites, something in my head will not allow me to take underdogs. For example, I was just looking at the Nuggets/Clippers halftime line. I knew the Clippers were the right play but I didn't even consider them because I only take favorites.

Can someone help me with my gambling problem?

You will never be worse than 50% if you bet favorites.

betting on favorites is not a bad strategy. start betting MLB, after awhile, you'll stop betting hte favorites for sure.

In my opinion the whole debate about 'squares betting favorites' is not about favorites and dogs, but about playing on or fading. In other words, a square always bets on the favorite because he can't bring himself to bet on the dog. What he's really doing is fading the dog. Keyword is fading.

So, if you want to play on dogs, turn it around and find angles that fade favorites. A play on a dog is a fade of a favorite.

That's some great advice, thanks! The Nuggets/Clippers game I mentioned is an excellent example of that. I knew the Clippers were the strong play because the Nuggets were in a second game of back to back on the road and the Clippers were rested and rolling at home. Also, the Clippers have had the Nuggets number in recent years. Camby was doing nothing because he's not prepared for back to backs yet, Iverson's getting old and back to backs get tougher... it was really a fade of the favorite, Denver that made me think the Clips were the play. All of that and the refs were favoring the Clips, imho. Nice tip, thanks.

You will never win betting favorites, it is a dog generation now due to parity in sports.e
