i know time really depends on certain game, but from your experience, please rank the following from shortest to longest
*nhl 1st period
*ncaa bb 1st half
*nba 1st half
*nfl first quarter
*soccer 1st half (this is usually 50 minutes)

either 1st half of a college B-Ball or 1st Q of college football, especially if they're not televised. i've been to some games in the past that have really went fast, hardly any timeouts or fouls or penalties.

from my experience nhl 1st period usually go for 40 minutes
