Default What you people have all been waiting for

Ladies and gentlemen and liberal people,
Due to popular demand, I will keep increasing your education and helping you people out with free picks. My next free pick, get ready for it, is on thanksgiving day. In my final meeting with the executives at MGM, before they criticized me for talking on sports forums, they told me "PICK DETROIT +3.5 THURSDAY, GREEN BAY IS GOING DOWN THEY HAVE NO PLACE TO RUN ALL THEIR EMERGENCY EXIT SIGNS HAVE BEEN BURNING" You people can feel it too. Trust in Layfield. Make some money with me . You heard it here first folks another free pick from the benefactor, Detroit +3.5.

i know. pretty much everyone i know are telling me packers spread is a lock. i think one of my friend is putting 10k on the packers. i never had any luck betting on or against the packers, so i am just going to watch the game. but historically speaking, lions should win outright.

well it is turkey day...and the lions do step it up on that day

and they are better this year...even though they sure didnt look it last week

but when I think of jon kitna vs brett farve

thats all I need to think about in regards to my selection for the game

I will give up the 40cents or so and take them on the moneyline though

I think the 3 points could help the books here...IMO

lions did got blown out by the falcons 05' and colts 04', but beat packers in 03', and lost to pats 02'

they play good teams on thanksgiving, and the only team they manage to beat recently is the packers. (3 years ago)

It will happen again this year. GB -3.5 is trap lines I think. NYG -3 @ DET last week and win by 6. Meanwhile GB look much better than NYG this year at least by the record 9-1 and only -3.5???

I have 11K on Green Bay at -3.5

This will be a good rivalry game between the top two NFC North Division teams.

    The reason it's only -3.5...

Green Bay as road favorite in November: 5-11-1 ATS
Green Bay on Thanksgiving Day: 11-18-2 SU
Detroit Lions as home underdog against Packers: 10-1 ATS
Detroit Lions as home underdog against Packers: 8-3 SU

I bought the point and have the Packers at -2.5 because...

    • Favre's completion pct, td/int ratio, and qb rating have been higher on turf than grass the past 2 seasons.
    • Kitna was 0-2 last season against Green Bay with 3 interceptions. We all know the D this year is much improved.
    • Last but not least, I'm hoping that Brandon Jackson gets the start, since Ryan Grant is Questionable. Jackson has a better history on turf due to experience from his career at Nebraska.
Close game ONLY because it's Thanksgiving, and the Lions tradition on the day, but no way Detroit is winning this one. Green Bay needs the win. Dallas is not going to be an easy game, and will most likely result in a loss for the Pack. I can see TO now, just running down the field on Charles Woodson.

If the line is set right half the people should love it and the other half shouldn't. Isn't that what setting the line is all about. We got our friend trying to get us to believe he has inside info. WOW.... personally I think beantownjim's info has been "proven" reliable".

You Sir still have to prove that your worth your bullshit attitude towards us.

Thats Why I don't cap' Pro . They always have games like this. They have a line that just does'nt seem right. G. bay has been playing great all around football and get better every week. Det. is playing good to but their just not consistent. It's a divisional game and all and theres a lot at stake but why would one seem to think one team is gonna play better than the other in this situation? G. bay is definitely the better team on paper. What? Did someone in Vegas pay someone off to make the games outcome this way? Theres already been scandals in point shaving in the past and look what happened with the refs In the NBA recently. In situations like this you just don't know.

But Jim did you get the mustang. If you did and you like it I might look him up after the winter and get one myself. SGC did a better job with his/her picks than good ole John boy here.

But old chum when your are dropping 11k on a single play you are asking for trouble!unless of course if 11k is nothing more than 10% of your total BKRLL.I have been on the mother of all loosing streak since the 3rd week of October.however since last Friday i have done well 2-0-1=NFL,4-0=NHL(+1.80,+1.40,+1.60,+1.30)those kinds of wins have gone a long way helping in my come back.I was chopping at the bits like a crack junkie the keep on playing tonight and lay it down on PITTS +1.75 .
But I have spend the last 2hrs searching for a angle on that game or get even a instinctual feel but no can do.So guest what tomorow is another day
I am not going to make it all back with one bet, hopefully by the end of NOV. i expect to recoup all my loses and profit in order to return to where i was on the 3rd week of october

I respect Mr. Layfield as one of the best handicappers we have seen in a long time. The man is clearly one of the best in the world evidence by his first pick. Give the man respect.

Spec 13: Thanks for the advice. The 11K bet on Green Bay was excessive. LOL. However, it's risk that I can afford. I had previously decided if Green Bay didn't work out, I would take a vacation for the remaining NFL games in 2007 and start back again in 2008.

Since I'm not a year round sports bettor, NFL is the primary sport that I bet and there are only a handful of games remaining in the 2007 NFL season. So, I'm glad Green Bay covered and now I have a bit more flexibility with my bankroll for the remaining NFL games in 2007.

We'll see what happens and best wishes to you. I hope you recuperate all your losses soon and show a big profit.

    Good luck!!
