Well Bills were 5-4, playing at home against NE line was NE -16. Then NE wins by 50 points or something like that. Eagles are 5-5, playing in NE. My prediction line will be between -19 and -23.

Bills line up, where is the pats line?
Taking them a long time to get the Pats line up. My guess is the books would rather just take this Pats game off the board. Conventional wisdom in setting the spread has not applied to the Pats this season. Any line less than 20 is going to be moved at least that high by the public. The second half line, Pats -7.5, in the Bills game, implied the initial spread should have been about -20, so playing in NE against the Eagles, a team that has a mediocre record like, line could reach -23, imo. There was some sharp action on the Bills, for this past week on the initial spread, and then later in the week, but this time linesmakers are afraid they won't get it and are dealing strickly with the public. Expect a very high line with some books afraid to hang it until later in the week.

Statistically, at least, the Eagles are a much better team than the Bills. The Pats' line will probably be between -17 and -20, bigger this week than last. IMO, a bet on the Eagles plus the points will be a far better bet than the Bills plus the points. I will not bet on the Patriots this week, and am more tempted to bet against them than I have been for several weeks.
I'll decide later.
(I had the Patriots to cover yesterday.)

If you look at the stats now, the Eagles are a better team, but is it a fair compairson, Bills having played NE, and Eagles not yet had the opportunity? How do the Bills compare to the Eagles before this weekend's game. Statistically they were not that much better. I do agree the public may perceive the Eagles as a better team, which is important when making the line. Nevertheless, I think the line will settle from -20 up to -23. It is really taking them a long time to come up with this line. Usually the lines are all out by Monday (other than those involving the Monday night teams).

I will repeat this one more time.
18 with McNabb
22 w/o McNabb
that is the line as of now.
Funny how when someone asks a question and you give an answer everyone keeps quessing ?

Philadelphia will cover the spread. According to the Monday Night Football Theory.
Week 12 plays: San Diego, Philadelphia, and Miami

Have you guys not been watching football this year. Hello... New England is destroying everyone in their path. period. They will continue to do so against Philly. Probably trying to get even with the NFL with regards to the fine and all that cheating incident.

I seen it at -20 in the USA Today and -22 in the greek, I would tease the Pats -10 in the 12 pt teaser on the greek if I was playing that game.

Oddly, it seems like the linesmakers are still doing their standard adjustment for whether NE is at home or on the road. (Basing this on the belief that Buffalo would NOT be favored over Philly, either with or w/o Mcnabb, on a neutral field.)
With the possible exception of an opponent like Indy, am I the only one that thinks WHERE this NE team plays is almost completely irrelevant this year? No way in the world they a 7 pt lesser favorite on the road than at home against a similar opponent....at least in my mind.

well....what I seen was
the pats get mad when BUF kicked their field goal to get 10 points
I think they might have been up by 28 or more at that point
they are out to score about 60 a game.....they arent going to let up
ill take my chances knowing brady will be in until they hit 50 or so
