bad loss happens once a while, so once a while we like to bitch and complain about how gambling is ruining our lives. i think it is a good idea to start a section for problem gambling support group.

for example, thread in that section will go something like this:

Title: I am done guys

Message: This is a brutal week, i lost everything. I think i am quitting gambling for good. good bye guys, this is a great forum, best of luck to you all

and someone could reply and say something like this

Message: yeah, this week is pretty tough, i think it is a good idea to take a break and clear your head. good luck

and someone wiseass could also chime in like this

Message: you're a loser. i know you'll be making bets this weekend.

I like the idea Pico. 98% of the people on here are worse for the wear as a result of gambling, and it might serve as a solid wakeup call to a lot of the posters on here. I'm sure we'd hear a bunch more crazy JJ stories from his time in G.A too....

if you are a problem gambler, i think there are better boards elsewhere that would be more appropriate. these boards are very helpful for the purpose they serve, but if you have a gambling problem, i don't think a site that has advertisements trying to get you to bet is a place you should be frequenting.

we all have gambling problems. it is how you deal with it. some people will never make a bet...that is how they deal with it. some poeple make a bet once a while for fun. it is like a little monster inside of you, it gets bigger everytime you win, and gets upset everytime you lose...and one day it'll just consume you after a key loss where you're just feel like shit.

then you start to reflict what the hell happened. sometimes you vow to never gamble again, sometimes you think you need a better strategy. after a while, the cycle start all over again.

i think some of you know what i am talking about. i can ramble on and on about this, that is why i think there should be a seperate section, so other posters won't feel depressed reading the player's section.

thanks. because not everyone will have a good week, i remember usually sunday night or monday everyweek there will be bunch of thread talking about how certain 4th quarter that ****ed them over now they're quit gambling. if i just had a great weekend, i don't really want to see these kind of depressing threads. i think player's area is better off with upbeat threads. but you can't force people not to post about their bad streak. so yeah, so i think bitch and complain in an area where those who really give it a shit is a pretty good idea.

Excellent idea. The traffic of the forum might suffer, while we all have degenerate qualities and rough spots, most guys who seriously bury themselves by week 4 quit for a while. Unless they're the kind who start using rent money or mugging old ladies.

I'm Canadian so I have no problem gambling. I've had locals, racetracks and now on line to get my fix. Just don't give me another beer cuz I did give that up.
