You as the player have to be careful. You cant go confirming bets and then hope the right rule, not the one that says all bets are final, bail you out. You as the player have to be smarter than that. In your case maybe it was a misundertsanding. But plenty of AK's out there will play that bet knowing the game has started and try to get it canceled if they lose. We cant go to bat in those cases or it looks like we are helping out shot takers.

You are hardly the first. This happens every week. Many books will leave a game up for a very short time to get all the late bets.

Its been a few years but as I recall the bet was made in the first few minutes of an NBA game on the total. And as I further recall when you made the bet you had the advantage on points scored. Happens all the time. What doesnt happen is the player crying for four years over a bet the player confirmed. That is really the only unique thing here.
