Default Marbury to Celtics: Is Ainge bad enough to do it?

I'm surprised the writers aren't talking about it. Isn't Marbuy always saying how he misses KG? He would come almost for nothing if NY buys him out. He could salvage his rep as a cancer.

Maybe if NY calls Ainge after he's been drinking? I hope not.

No way in Hell the Knicks buy out Steph

First of all the guy is due 39 MILLION for the next 2 years!

Buyouts are usually at least 80% of contract and the Knicks are shit without him
They need him still, and after riding the bench for a week or two he will be starting again

No reason for Knicks to give up on season in a weak East

I thought the knicks had a mini Jason Kidd PG from Marist or something. I was waiting to hear about him again but looks like he got cut right after the espn feature.

Knicks DONT have any PG's om the roster

Mardy Collins is an undersized forward and Nate Robinson is a good 6th man and nothing more

What pisses me off is that a guy like Jared Jeffries who has zero game and is a liability on both ends is on the roster only because of contract

Why not give the kid you said about a chance when a a bum is taking up a roster spot?

Why mess up the chemistry of a unselfish, good team?

Marbury is through in the NBA, all GM's know he is a cnacer and a huge loser in this league. He is going to italy where there is no pressure.

Bringing in "Starbury" wouldn't do a damn thing for the Celtics...except make them worse!!!

Marbury would flourish on the Celtics. Marbury would make a great 4th option. His assists would be through the roof. Garnett, Pierce, and Allen would keep his ego in check you best believe that.

Marbury has no character, and the mentality of a four year old.

Maybe a deal where NY pays most of his salary and Boston gives NY a PG? It's likely up to Garnett.

The knicks are going to have to release him at this point anyway and pay most of his salary. I don't think any team would be smart to trade somebody for him unless you want to dump salary. He'll be availabe shortly for nothing.

How many rings does Marbury have exactly? He's a loser. The going gets tough, he cries like a baby. Enough already. Him, OJ, Ricky Williams, A-Rod, Isiah Thomas, Pac Man.....it's sickening. All of these millionaires, all of them people of zero character who always blame everyone else when things go wrong.

What the hell is going on?

(man, I feel alot better now)

Not sure of the process, but if the Knicks release him, they are responsible for his salary. Then, another team can claim him for the minimum. But I think it's worse records first, meaning Boston would have last pick. You could see another playoff team grab him just to keep him off Boston.

A trade might save the Knicks a few mil if team #2 will pay some of his current salary.

    PLEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Marbury is the most self-center, narcissistic, me, me, me person in the NBA. And that's saying a LOT!!!!!!

No one has been able to keep Starbury's ego in check. The Celtics do not need Marbury.

Let him take his sorry @ss to Italy, if they'll have him.

Marbury and Thomas deserve each other, and the Knicks appear to be stuck with both of them.

However, if some team is willing to negotiate for Starbury, and the Knicks see a way of chipping away at that lousy deal they have with him, why not? The Knicks need to start emptying the trash bin, and Starbury would be a good start.

Besides, I heard Starbury has a whole lot of stuff on Thomas, and once Starbury is released, a lot of crap is going to come flying out of his mouth about Thomas and the Knicks.
