I say it starts VERY, VERY soon. A few of the moderators have warned against BetOnline from the beginning, and it will all come to fruition soon. They're run by an outfit of guys who've worked at no-pay operations before, and don't have a particular propensity towards paying out. In addition, they offer more perks and have an even riskier business model than BetCascade. There's no way they didn't expect to get creamed by sharps.

This is the perfect time for them to pull another hit and run. Their credibility has gone down the garbage, they've already got some sizable balances accrued, and they should get plenty of more post up money through the Super Bowl regardless. This book had no chance of sustaining from the beginning, and it was pretty apparent to most that they ever had intentions of such anyways. Anyone playing with this collection of renegades should start pulling out NOW if you can imo....

No, BOL is doing very well. Even with the reduced juice package it has been a moneymaking season. Players are still getting 6 figure payouts in a few days. Things should be going very well for BOL.

The action on the account was taken by their casino risk mgt. The only thing we can look at at this point is how fast and how well they communicate with the all parties when there is a large dispute.

BetOnline WILL go down. To be fair, there have been a couple of moderators who have spoken out against BOL from the beginning. SBR is a business like any other, and all in all they are the best of its kind BAR NONE. I don't believe they'd ever knowingly bump a book's rating to a sponsor if they felt the book would go under, but wishing and turning a blind eye to the facts doesn't make it so. Neither of the above 2 come with Betonlines baggage or short history. They have to be held to a higher standard. When they have been around for 10 years, they get to make the odd slip

You have been very vocal and consistent on their rating, I'll give you that, but you're just now breaking your silence. Players have a very legitimate reason to feel alarmed right now. I hope you're right about them, but I'm not sure its for entirely the same reasons.

Look on this forum everyday and you will see every book has a few haters. Some are more vocal. One of the best posters thinks the Greek should be an F. He's in every Greek thread. We understand and try to be tolerant. Guys lose and sometimes take it personally.

BOL has a big casino winner and they are checking with the software provider. Thats hardly unusal. You go run $500 into $70k at any book with a 3rd party software casino and you will find it will take a while to double check your play.

I've said before they should consider dropping the high bonuses because it forces them to manage risk with a heavy hand.Highly unlikely they can becaome an A+ book with the current model. But give the devil its due. These guys are top notch managers. Ive met with them many times as I have with almost every manager in the industry. Lets see what their players are saying come spring and at the start of next football.

John do you really think I started this thread because I "lost and take it personally"? If that was the case, I ought to be ranting against Pinnacle every day of every week, as they took me for several new Mercedes in aggregate.

Also, to even compare BetOnline to theGreek is pretty out there. Those two are in such different classes that it would take a novel to list all the ways in which theGreek is superior.

Again, I prefaced this thread by praising SBR and the integrity of the site. However, we differ very strongly in the assessment of BetOnline. I think they're more overrated than Michigan was to start off the season in college football. If you want to make a side bet and are willing to give me 4-1 I'll bet you that BOL won't be around in the summer of 2009....
