    Default GamblersPalace confiscates $425

Gamblerspalace states that a player won $425 betting straight wagers.

GamblersPalace claims he then took advantage of a software glitch that allowed him to manipulate if-bets. "He wagered small amounts on the initial bet and if it won, would be set for a large wager on a correlated outcome of the same game." Wagering in this manner allows a player to essentially hold or cancel large bets based on other related outcomes of that same game. The player has not disputed the decision to void these if-bets which resulted in a $2,000 profit but has requested his previously existing balance of $425. SBR expects GamblersPalace to reconsider the decision to punish the player by confiscating these funds. GamblersPalace states they have not been able to recreate the "software malfuncton."

I'm not sure the player admits he did anything wrong. During negotiation, he might have said something like "for the sake of argument, assume you're right. Why did you take the rest of my money?"

No one is suggesting he did. The point is that GamblersPalace is taking his preexisting winnings as punishment. These funds are not part of a wagering dispute.

    George: SIR
George: YOU TRIED TO STEAL FROM ME
    George: AND YOU GOT CAUGHT
    George: SORRY
GPplayer: UMM YEAH AM I COMPLAINING ABOUT THOSE WAGERS BEING CANCELLED?
GPplayer: I MEAN, I SHOULD BE, YOU ACCEPTED THE WAGERS, THEY SHOULD BE HELD, BUT I'M NOT EVEN COMPLAINING ABOUT THAT
George: YOU SHOULDN'T COMPLAIN AT ALL
GPplayer: YOU'RE STEALING THE $425 I WON ON STRAIGHT BEST
GPplayer: SO I GUESS I SHOULDN'T COMPLAIN WHEN PPL STEAL FROM ME
George: YOU GOT CAUGHT AND YOU NO LONGER HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH US
    George: AND THAT'S FINAL
GPplayer: SO YOU'RE ADMITTING YOU'RE STEALING THE 425 THEN
    George: NO SIR
    George: YOU CHEAT
GPplayer: JUST ANSWER ME, WHAT BETS WAS I UP $425 ON?
George: SIR YOU HAVE $0.00 IN YOUR ACCOUNT
George: AND YOU CAN'T PLAY WITH US ANYMORE
GPplayer: IF I HAD LOST THOSE BETS AND WAS DOWN $425, WERE YOU GOING TO CREDIT BACK MY ENTIRE $2K DEPOSIT?

Regarding the if-bets, book and players obviously have a big difference of opinion on what bettor actions are a scam and what is simply taking what the defense gives you. Betting this way is up there with past-posting. Partial results of the game are already known.

I can't say I'm surprised by this books move on this complaint. It's to be expected really IMO, because these are the types of stunts they are famous for over the years (slow pay/no pay).

If it was a "glitch" and they "claim" they can't recreate it, then who's really to say their was a glitch at all.

I feel this player deserves his funds.

GamblersPalace agreed to pay him the $425. GP initially took the stance that if this guy is going to cheat us we never stood to make $ off him so why pay him any winnings? This is one of those cases where the book needs to check their personal feelings at the door and not lose any of the good reputation they recently built over gas money.

I was just thinking GP had started to repair an abysmal reputation and I was thinking about playing there, but the way they dealt with this has convinced me not to bother.
