AIM is good. I find that most people have AIM.

That is a good program if you use all those messengers. I only use MSN and use to use ICQ, but haven't turned on ICQ in years.

Strictly MSN for me at this point.

I think you have to go into each setup and put in your user names and passwords in order for them to log on to each network.

Yes, you need to sign up for each of the services. Then just pop your usernames/passwords into Trillian and connect to some/all of them.

EDIT - And you need to type faster to beat Onlooker.

Yep, have done that. Had to sign up to new accounts. So now my Trillian username, let's say "sexymofo" handles the whole lot or do i have to use each username separately. The reason i ask is that my ICQ AIM and Windows Live usernames all vary.

Example: An ICQ user wants to contact me. They would use my trillian name or ICQ name?

I am not to sure on how they will show up to others, I think you will have one global name, that will show on all the services.

Nope, you sign into Trillian with your Trillian name/password. Then you input your usernames/passwords for each of the messenger services you have accounts with.

So, if your AOL name is "ilovecock" and the AOL password is "everyday" you enter then within the Trillian setup. Repeat with any other messenger services. Try it, it's a lot simpler to do than to explain.

(unless the software has changed since I installed it) you don't communicate with other users via your Trillian details. You need to go into setup and input your AOL/Yahoo etc. messengers and communicate via that.
