    On the internet.

The closest shop is far away from me, there isn't a place on the internet that assists with this?

Beckett magazine comes out monthly and lists baseball cards and their market price, and is the industry standard for getting an estimate on a card. You can get this at pretty much any sports memorabilia store.

The absolute best way, though, is to just look it up on ebay under "closed items". Chances are your card or one exactly like it has been sold, and since this is where most people go to get the best deal on cards, it will give you a great indication of what people are willing to spend.

Beckett is garbage..smr is more realistic.. I buy and sell psa and sgc cards and have been for years. Pm me. If it is something from 1985 to present it is overproduced. Pm me I am always buying if it is vintage and in good shape. I just got back from the east coast on a buying spree...

tuffstuff is another site you might want to check out IMG.

You can pretty much get an idea of what your cards are worth by checking out there archived issues here.

Keep in mind what they say they are worth in some guide is pretty much useless. You have to be in the business to realize what that means. If it is prewar and good shape I pay top dollar. I come across many people that think they can get what the book says..PM me I can help you out regardless of what you have...

Go on ebay to see what other people are selling them for. That is the best price you will get.
