Has anyone out there ever had there limits cut from pinnacle, cris, or mansion?

I have a contact who has had his limits cut at Pinnacle. They were only cut slightly (~15% as I recall) and are still higher than just about every sportsbook out there, but they are not as high as mine.
A number of people had their limits cut in the Mansion sportsbook shortly after it launched. That was before the sportsbook changed to it's current high juice format and everyone stopped using it and the limits became basically irrelevant. These cuts had no effect on activity in the Mansion exchange.
That's what comes to mind for me on this topic off the top of my head.

15% isn't bad. Mudcat, say I were to use a top rated "recreational" book and won at a 60% clip for an extended period of time. Would most ban me or just cut my limits? If they did cut my limits, how much per game do you think they would accept from a winning player? Thanks for any input.

Mud,
Do you know if your contact bets Euro sports or Nascar?
I think it is possible to get your limits cut anywhere but guessing it is sport specific. The book has to have the volume on the sport to manage that action.

There's no one answer for that. Different books have very different criteria and procedures for these things. There are a huge number of variables in your question.Originally Posted by tink
FWIW, I am a fairly high $$$ player - and have done my share of winning - and have used a good number of different books a lot of which would be classified as recreational - and I have never been banned anywhere and only limited twice (that I recall). So getting restricted does not have to be a big part of life.
But then I know guys that seem to get sanctioned left, right and center. It just depends how you operate.
I guess what I'm saying is you'd really have to narrow down your question (with regard to specific books and methods) to get a useful answer.
He definitely bets Euro sports. Nascar, I'm not so sure. I wouldn't be surprised if he arbed Nascar match-ups.Originally Posted by Bill Dozer
The times we have compared our limits though, we were looking at the big North American major leagues. It was odd. Like we were comparing NFL and my limit would be $30,000 and his would be something like $25,687.

I guess I'm just a little confused on the terms recreational and professional books. If I'm winning at say 60% consistently but only wagering around $200 a game, would they be likely to limit me more. I'm speaking of most B+ and up rated rec books. Are you considered a wiseguy or sharp by your winning percentage alone or your winning percentage and amount you are wagering? Sorry if this isn't more clear. Thanks.

I don't think you'll have much problem at any professional book if you're only betting $200 a game.

$200 players can take their pick. I'd probably recommend a combination set-up with Pinnacle and VIP or BoDog (depending who has the best current bonus)

CRIS often cuts limits. Mansion did half some limits in the sportsbook but as they are now completely focused on the exchange they can't limit individual players anymore.

Bet 365 can cut your limits if you bet for less than $100 match. My experience is from betting on Euro sports only so might differ if you only bet on US Sports but very much doubt it, Thing is that I had very small winnings as well.Originally Posted by tink
So you can't say in general that just because they are B+ or better they won't cut your limits. I have given critics that willingness to limit people is not included in ratings of bookmakers and I still think that it sucks a lot to give Bet 365 better rating that B-. If you are not ready to risk at least a little money on your customer than you should not be graded as a good bookmaker.
