Default I've Got A Really Bad Feeling About Bookmaker....

SBR can you check into everything that's going on? They're no longer taking CC deposits (I never deposited via CC with them anyways, but that might be a sign of a book about to do something funny). They're taking substantially longer than they ever have to grade wagers now also. On top of this, their customer service is slower than ever (as several other posters have pointed out). I hope I'm wrong, but I just get a really weird feeling that something's about to go down. When everything starts to go downhill at once, and previously accepted reversible transactions are being pulled, it's only logical to question as I am. When there's smoke, there's fire. Any reassurances/updates that you can give would be most appreciated by myself and others. Thanks...

If they go down then it's time to get out of every shop you play at. It's the beginning of the end......

I feel that way about theGreek, WSEX, and those two's spinoffs Patrick. I don't quite feel that way about Bookmaker, as they were just created after BetCris wanted to get away from the US due to coercion...

Default probably just a customer service issue

I posted about they're no longer accepting CCs, and I apologize for starting another thread on the same topic. Since they accept them at Diamond and Betmaker, I have to assume they intend to accept them at Bookmaker as well. It looks like they are redoing the deposit screen.

Every time they have redone their deposit screens they have left out options until people have complained and then several days later they reappear.

I don't think anything is seriously wrong, they just have very low wage clerks who do not provide great customer service at time. The clerk told me it was "managements decision" and there was nothing that could be done about it.

That is the only reason I post, because I think that by posting I get management's attention. Management if you are reading this you have a great book overall, but taking away deposit options for a day or two is not good service at all.

I hear what you are saying BB, that's true. My point was more that your money is going to be safe with them (regardless of what happens) rather than whether or not BM actually sticks around. Just an opinion of course, I could be wrong, but if they stiff everyone and close shop I wouldn't send another quarter anywhere. I don't think that ever happens though, if they were forced to close that shop for logistic reasons or whatever, they do a Pinnacle and pay everyone on their way out.

They might be closing down but they would be the last book to shut off your winnings

If they went down all that would happen in my opinion is the account balances will be transfered to one of their sister books....

it's extremely difficult and expensive for all books to process CC deposits these days.

i think they had a $500 limit before anyway, so not a big deal.

    send a wire

    otherwise, they are fine

What exactly is BookMaker saying when you try to deposit by CC. I use them and it seems to be working for me. Only **** of course but still taking it. Now I did notice that some cards will not deposit, certain companies like Capital One for example, but that's on their end, not the book's. Did anyone else try to deposit? When people start talking bad about a book I use, it makes me scared - past trauma with Neteller.

You guys know that CC processing is hit and miss these days. I'll see when they will get that back.

CRIS/Bookmaker is as strong as they get. Pinny is stronger but they are clearly #2. Its a huge operation and its run very tightly. They own the 8 story building they are in.

They also have a very diversified line of products. Their racebook does huge volume and casino and poker do well too.

Do you guys realize that Bookmaker is first to open lines for College Football?

Bookmaker isn't going anywhere, too much volume.

Default SBRJOHN they don't even have the option to use CCs

SBRJOHN, It is not that **** is getting declined, its that Bookmaker is no longer offering the option to use ************, while at the same time offering the option at their sister books.

I have had no problem using **** cards to deposit up to $2000 in one day at all the CRIS books in the past. I use **** debit cards from two of my banks, and a reloadable one I bought from a check cashing place. There are several places in my town that sell additional gift cards that have worked at almost all the sportsbooks. There are several other places in town that sell gift cards that do not work at any sportsbooks. So it is hit an miss, but once you find the ones that work, they tend to keep working. If you find one that doesn't work, then spend it on groceries or gas. Its worth the effort to find out what gift cards work and which ones do not. I am not going to post which ones work, because then everyone will use them and they will stop working! I will say that green dot does not work very many places, and to make sure the card is an international card. Some of these cards are only good for within the United States.

For very large amounts, I transfer from other sportsbooks. Those A books that can not or don't want to transfer to other A books, should no longer be rated A in my opinion.

I don't like **, etc. etc., sending money to some guy in Nicaragua or Peru. It may work, and I've done it before, but it is not my prefered way. I'm not sending them a check and waiting 45 days for it to clear either.

I absolutely do not think bookmaker is going out of business. I am one of those who bet their opening college lines every week on Tuesday. Overall they are a great book, but some aspects of their customer service are in need of improvement.
