Default Middling with same book, allowed?

Say i see the Jazz game at +4 and i just know the number will shrink, i bet 1 unit hoping it goes down at least 2,3 points points and a nice middle opportunity plus role over requirements

If the number goes to +1.5 than i bet Warriors with a nice middle of 2 points can i bet with the same book?

I know this is not smart in the long run with the juice but sometimes its like what the hell

I know it's not allowed to be done at Betmania at all. Usually it's considered bad business practices by some book owners, and some books could even consider it as bonus abuse situation.

I did it at Pinny all the time. They never said a thing about it.

Anyone do this at WSEX or Betjam?

Sportbet and BetOnline don't allow it.

Not good to do when rolling a bonus. It's no problem at a real book with no bonus involved, but not advisable for small books or crappy books.

Betmania will void your 2nd bet on the same game w/o any notice or email.

If you're not rolling over a bonus most the big boys will let you do it. If you're at a shit book I wouldn't advise ever doing it, BetMania for example.

Will they cancel a bet for you at least?

Used to could at WSEX without a problem, probably still can. Not sure about BetJamaica but I know you were okay at the Greek.

BTW, at a lot of books this depends on variables. What kind of player you are, how often you do it and so on. If you're sharp I wouldn't recommend ever doing it at the same place, especially if it's a square book. Why do anything to call attention to yourself? Take the comeback at another book just to be safe.

If you are playing at a book that does not allow this then it is probably not worth playing at the book. WSEX does not have a problem with it, nor does the Greek.

Pinnacle, TheGreek and WSEX - No problem.
The only other one I have an answer for is VIP: They will just slash limits if they see you doing this - even as low as $1 per bet.

Any "A" professional book (Pinny, Cris/BM/DSI, Oly) won't care. If you keep doing it, you're more likely to get hired than hassled.

Crap books... well, there's yet another reason to avoid them.

Don't do it at all man cause then they will tamper with your winnings

Since the thread is about BetMania and betting both sides of the same game here is an actual experience of mine. I had bet side A when I meant to bet side B. I called them when I noticed that (several hours later) and asked whether I could bet double my first bet on side B and whether they had a problem with it. They offered to cancel the original bet "for this one time only" (their words). I accepted and placed a bet on side B. I thought what they did was classy.

I do it from time to time... I did it at SBoo, Royal, and 5Diimes in the last year... I don't do it often but I actually do change my mind and sometimes right after I place the first bet... I always figure..I would rather lose juice then the whole bet if I really feel like I made a mistake... I did it at MyBookie (now VIP) so many years ago and they didn't like it...

Wow if a book cancels a bet like this I would leave right away.

Don't some of these books realize that we make bets for friends and family? I make bets for people all the time and sometimes they conflict with mine.

Only a piece of Shit book would void the bet.

Most books have specific terms when rolling over a bonus about betting both sides of a game. It can result in cancelling the bonus to neither wager counting towards roll over.

I wouldn't ever do it under rollover conditions.

You don't want to do anything that seems the least bit shady with a book. Any excuse you give them can wipe out a win and you really have no recourse. They can always say its a rule.

    Exactly Doug...

I mean your only asking for trouble if you were to do that with those mid-level or lower type operations that are out there.

Dam I was going to say the same thing. A real book has no problem at all with line move middles as long as a bonus or loyalty promo stuff is not involved.

If you think about it, it is kind of good for the book. Yes they have a Polish middle but they do anyway.

Thats why I suggest to people to read the rules before sending the book your money, because it sure saves a lot of pain and misery down the road.

The only book that I use to do it with is Pinny. Otherwise I use 2 books.

I called Pinny and they once canceled a bet I made because I bet the wrong team. I think that was a one time deal though.
