Default largest parlay/teaser you won/came close to winning?

i am a big longshot bet player. i like to put down 20 for a chance at like 10 grand or whatever.

i read the bbjerk thread and it got me thinking about what other people have come close to winning or won as far as big parlay and teaser bets.

this is your chance to tell your "big-fish-that-got-away" story!

I missed the first leg of a pick 7 at Greenwood racetrack which had a 6-5 shot winning. Had the next 6 including a 42-1 shot which I had bet straight out. It was a mandatory payout night and 1 person hit the 7 for a 600,000 payout I belive. I could have gotten half of that.

Default i live for parlays

getting close sucks but is still fun-- i guess in a sick and twisted way

edit: my biggest by the way is a 5 gamer for like 450. and it took a last minute fumble returned for a TD and an overtime to gurantee the over.

Had OSU to win the national championship last year in various futures bets that would have paid out over $100K. That was a tough pill to swallow. Combined with futures bets for San Diego to win the AFC and Seattle to win the NFC losing in the same week, and it was an ugly go of it last January for yours truly.

As far as parlays I too like to **** around and put a fair amount to win mid five figures and such, and have had many a parlay go 4-1 or 5-1. This thread is going to be depressing...

7/8 on a parlay that would have paid $2500 on $5.00.

I put 2K to win 42K on Carolina to win the Super Bowl the year they played the Pats. in the Super Bowl... Needless to say I still won't watch replays of that game...

I missed a 100 parlay to win 5K a few times a by game but that's about it...

Just yesterday i had 25 bucks to win 950. ( Thought I had a nice little hit up 14 points with about 5 minutes left in the Denver game)

+200 raiders
+105 cinci
-110 tb -3
-100 jags-8
+100 Denver

The good news was that I bet The Bears halftime line -.5 @ +105 for 450. ( hedging with very good potential for a middle)

I have won a few good ones here and there. This one sticks out cause it was last night.

I had a 7 pick parlay in NFL, 6 winners in and the remaining game was new england. They failed to cover the spread by 1 point. The only game of the year that they did not purposely run the score up.

Two that come to mind (wish I could just block them out, lol)...

4/6 Pick 6 at Meadlowlands. First 4 horses finished first, 5th horse finished 2nd, 6th horse finished second. If 5 horses would've finished first, roughly $5,000-$6,000. If 6 horses would've finished first, roughly $100,000. It was Hambletonian maybe 4-5 years back. I remember this bald guy with a mustache, was ready to get the state troopers, if the 5th race hit. If you've ever been to the track, you know who i'm talking about. Great guy, normally there every day, screaming and yelling downstairs, all the way to the left walking towards going outside. He was friends with a buddy of mine that I went there with, that's how we got to talking.

The best though, was when I first started gambling. My friend and I opened 2 accts on BetOnSports(i think? were they around then?). So, we both built up a lot of money in a short time, and like morons decided to blow some. It was week 16 or 17 I think, so the season was over anyways, and we both took a 10 team parlay for $500 a piece. I said we were morons! lol. Anyways, he finished with like 3/10. And I had 9/10 going into the Monday night game. I had all my friends over, drinkin beers, cookin hamburgers/hotdogs in the cold weather, just hanging out, having a good time. Which in turn was a bad idea, because they all saw me almost have a brain aneurysm.

I wanna say the game was the Jets @ Dolphins in december of either 1999 or 2000. Dolphins should've easily covered since they were going for the playoff spot, and the Jets were already out of contention. Lucas I think got the start for the Jets. But anyways, the score was 31-31 going into OT. I had the Dolphins, and I wanna say I had the spread at 4.5 or 5.5, either way, it was under 7 but over 3, a FG wouldn't do. A little nervous in OT, but lucky me, they were driving down field for the TD, and only a few yards from the Jets endzone! The game was a lock in my head with Marino in there! All the sudden INT! 90+ yard interception for a td? Not very likely I thought. When it happened I put my head in my hands though cause I couldn't watch, I was about to puke, and all I can remember is hearing my friends go..."He's at the 20, the 30, hahaha stiffarmed Marino, the 40, the 50, the 40, one defender to beat, oh shit, oh shit, dude hes gone, touchdown!" I wanted to kill myself that day. Knowing what I do now, BetOnSports probably would've stiffed me anyways, or made up some bs that the limit was wayy lower than the wager.(which it probably was) Because a 10 teamer is roughly 300/1. And at $500, that would be $150,000.

So yeah, thanks for bringing back good memories. lol.

Default Football Pleaser -6 missed by 1 team

Betonline offers pleasers -6 on each game/over /under. I had 1 unit on a six teamer paying 300/1, 30K this year, shit even two weeks ago. I'm trying to burn the memory. All my teams hit except Titans/jacko over 42. Because Vice young threw 3 red zone pics , including 2 in the last 5 min
