This is really a great news. I am sure if RCS was so broke Cris would not have been that stupid to buy them off. Anyway, people here could even consider to apologize to TOW and RCS and I am joining AK's petition to upgrade a bookie from F to A!

CRIS rep told me they will lose quite a bit on it, but that they are doing it for the industry.

Roberto did a good job getting this taken care of, but if you think Rich Coast was in good shape you are crazy. Apologize? LMAO

well, if they are doing it for the industry then why don't they buy all of the broke bookies in the net. I mean, nobody would even consider buying internet1x2 or some known stiff and broke bookie...

anyway, I am glad everything went well...

AK, maybe I will be the first person at this forum to start trusting you? ;-)

I do want to note SBR will probably try to spin this and there mistake about RichCoastSports failing and being broke. JAJAJA They need to confirm with solid sources like RPM and Ak if they hear different about one of there advertisers.

This was not a bailout and RichCoastSports went home happy

AK, your act is fine when we aren't talking serious issues, but are you calling me a liar? Brian said that they were going to lose money but that it was better for the industry. I really don't care why CRIS chose to take over this particular book (Roberto and RPM had a lot to do with it), just glad for my balance and other that they did.

This is very much in the industry interests, or at least the small-book industry (which Cris isn't part of, admittedly); if Rich Coast went down, so did other rookie bookies, with player panic, manic withdrawals etc. Lots of lost businesses, lost jobs and lost player funds. This one needed to stay afloat.

It was also clearly in Roberto & Co's interests to bring this off, but they've got us the best possible package: full balances, no terms, all instantly cashable.

Also, bets placed during this week were not graded - I was short about 1K. I phoned Cris, and they paid the discrepancy right there and then on my word. Fabulous service.

Well done, Roberto and all the rest of the TOW team. Spend the next week patting yourselves on the back, because you've earned it.

You can log into your RC account at Cris, but they want passwords changed. I didn't have a balance on my old Cris account, so they just closed it. Presumably those of you with balances can simply merge everything into one account.

I got the same email. WTG CRIS.

I don't know exactly what to believe about this whole situation. I think some interested parties have used this situation as leverage to become political, so to speak, or maybe just stir the muck. Looks like it has all worked out well, with CRIS coming out the winner with some good positive PR.

AK, quit sucking your own dick in front of everyone, you're embarassing yourself.

Thank god I got my money out of RCS a couple of days before they crashed out. Cris already cut that account off and no doubt would have stolen my money.

    Raiders-

I don't know why you think I should know better. Most situations like this are bailouts. Book pulls login. Book isn't paying. Book isn't responsive to players. Then ADD that two different books, first BookTheBet and then CRIS portray this as them helping out the industry while taking a loss, with the first book calling it a "bailout". It isn't like this word was pulled out of the air. Tony was given the player database and that is the wording he used.

The fact that there is no rollover is great and to me means the word bailout shouldn't be used in the rollover sense. But even the things I read at TOW indicate that whoever was taking over was going to be give the full player balances to work with just 40%.

I really don't care about how the story is spun. Players got paid, and that is good enough for me. New books are questionable to play at, but at least this time it was made better with the work of Roberto, RPM, and obviously CRIS to help out us players who took a risk. I really question whether it will work so smoothly next time something goes wrong with a new book, but I guess we will see.
