Can't predict when teams make huge reaches like Jacksonville. Only time they are accurate is in top 5 picks.

Poor Rams....they were trapped into taking Bradford 1st..........no one wants to have the first pick anymore too much money for no promise of greatness.....Tebow will be better than Bradford

I wouldn't judge him on who he says the teams will take...... I'd judge him on who he thinks they should take, and see how those guys turn out.

Mel Kiper and Todd McShay can both eat a dick. They both have huge agenda's and are wrong more times than right. They both hated Tebow and even after he got drafted still tried to pile on. Let it go bitches...

Even if you love Tebow, you can't possibly justify taking him this early........ trade down.

I would have taken him #10 with Jacksonville. They blew it big time. Good luck to having blackouts every week in Jax. Fuking idiots.

Let me ask you a question. Outside of this years SECCG, name another time Tebow wasn't the best player on the field (including Percy Harvin, Louis Murphy). When didn't he outperform Sam Bradford (title game), Matt Stafford, Jamarcus Russell, Jevan Snead, etc. This kids been the best player on the field the past few years. He had the highest accuracy throwing in the SEC.

No way in hell do I let him get out of Jax. This guy would have sold thousands of tickets. I know a bunch of people who are done with Jax. They would have made his contract money back the next few days. Tebow has had the largest drawing power of any CFB in the history of football. Why wouldn't Jax capitalize on that especially when your bleeding as a franchise??? He was a no brainer for Jax. Denver got a steal... Watch.

I love Mel...It is not his job to predict how well these guys will do, just where their strengths and weeknesses lie. He gives you the most info about these guys, right or wrong, and that is all I want on Draft day.

Tim Tebow's marketing draw is huge. He's a polarizing figure that people either love or hate. He had an autograph session in Jax a few weeks ago where people paid $250 for pictures and his signature. I didn't think but a few people would show up. Over 1,500 people paid for his autograph lined up at 7am. That is unreal. Could you imagine how many people would be lined up outside Jax ticket office to buy season tix if they took Tebow? All I know is that a bunch of my friends just cancelled their season tix. So not only did Jax miss out on the influx of new people buying season tix, they also lost fans who are highly pissed. Jax dropped the ball on this big time.

Here's the link to his signing at the mall. Crazy...

you honestly wanted Jax to take him with the 10th pick? I'm not hating but everyone seems to think he won't make a great nfl quarterback. You think they should draft him just to sell tickets and perhaps sacrifice actually having a winning team?

Did you read my previous post??? I clearly stated that Tebow was the best player on the field in almost every game he played in. If I had the #10 pick and I was Jax, I would have taken Tebow as a no brainer. 1 because he's a great player. 2 because people love him and it would be a no risk proposition because I would make my money back selling tickets.

Maybe Jax could have traded down a few picks and still pick him up around 20 but why take the chance?? Several other teams were very interested in Tebow and there's no way in hell I would let him go when my franchise is in dissarray and might be forced to move.

When you say everyone seems to think he won't make a great NFL QB who exactly are you talking about? A bunch of NFL scouts all said he was going to go in round 1. I trust them over your opinion or Todd McShay or Mel Kiper. There's a reason those guys aren't scouts because they don't know shit. I think Tebow will be very similar to Ben Roethlisberger. Strong, able to break tackles, etc. I thought Tebow was the best QB in the draft, ahead of Bradford. I definitely had him ahead of McCoy and Claussen. Obviously, the Bronco's thought the same thing.

Tebow out played Bradford when they played. He outplayed Tony Pike, Jamarcus Russell, Matt Stafford, etc... Why the hell wouldn't you take him? Oh, I forgot, you listen to too much Mel stupid ass Kiper

Any GM that doesn't look at the big picture is an idiot. Yes you want the best players but now a day's you need guys with integrity. GM's have always had to pick players that could fill seats. Did you forget what Patrick Ewing did for the Knicks overnight? Michael Vick (pre dog fighting) sold more ATL season tix than any other player ever. Yao Ming here in Houston, Roger Clemons with the Astro's, etc.

I will make you a bet that the only game Jax sells out next year will be game 1 when they play, guess who... Denver and Tebow. People are outraged that Jax didn't get Tebow. Straight up pissed.

Jax ended up taking some no name dude at #10 who was projected mid 2nd rounder. How the hell do you justify that shit??

Hard to predict drafts anymore, due to complicated financial deals, salary caps,n free agency, etc. The projections mean nothing for the most part.

I think when Tebow went before Claussen he must had his insides chewed apart. It was like a big slap in the face. Does he even consult the GM's before he comes up with his coveted lists?

    Like the SENIOR BOWL??

TEBOW plays for anytime outside the TOP 15, nobody even knows who he is, product of a good COLLEGE system

Imagine taking TEBOW over some of the other QB's in this draft............

Also, sick of hearing "what a great teammate and hard worker" this guy is...........like McCoy isn't????

Epic fail on Clausen. It's hillarious how he had him atop the "best available" for like 3 hours and 22+ rounds but never got picked.

Mel Kuiper is hilarious to me. He's like a cartoon character that talks five times faster than everybody else.

I couldn't stop laughing just now at the draft. Here he is wildly gesturing, talking loud and fast, and leaving absolutely no space to respond for Superbowl winners John Gruden and Steve Young. F*cking hilarious.

Got this from another board. Kiper is a douche bag who doesn't know what the fuk he's talking about most of the time...

    Mel Kiper quotes collected.....

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kiper on the 1998 draft debate of Manning or Leaf? "He isn't John Elway, Dan Marino or Jim Kelly, but he's as good as it gets in college football," Kiper said of Manning. "A lot of these teams in the NFL are desperate for quarterbacks and he's the best out there, with Ryan Leaf a real close second."

Mel Kiper Jr. who's quote on Ryan Leaf will forever leave him with no credability in my book "I think Ryan Leaf is more mature than Drew Bledsoe, he's very much a grown up 21 year old."

a few more examples... ("trev alberts will be a hall of famer", "wes welker is not worth a secound round pick i dont care how much you like his work ethic, but he has done nothing to show a value that high" or my favorite "Ki-jana could be the next Bo Jackson" actually now that i think about it Ki-jana Carter was kinda like Bo Jackson flash in the pan that got hurt and lasted like 4 years in the NFL...

    Kiper...“ryan leaf or peyton manning? that’s a toss-up…”

“Jamarcus Russell’s gonna immediately energize that Raider Nation, that fanbase, that football team- on the practice field, in that locker room- three years from now you could be looking at a guy that’s certainly one of the elite top five quarterbacks in this league.

You’re talking about a 2-3 year period once he’s under center. Look out because skill level that he has is certainly John Elway like.”

"They could go 0-16"(commenting on the 2001 Patriots) --- Patriots beat the Rams 20-17 in Super Bowl XXXVI

Ryan Leaf's "attitude" (which had rubbed teammates and coaches the wrong way in college) would be an asset in the NFL and give him a mental advantage over Peyton Manning

"Akili Smith will be a great NFL player and would finally provide the Cincinnati Bengals with the passer they'd lacked since Boomer Esiason"

"Give the Lions credit for going away from their biggest needs to take receiver Mike Williams" & "I'll see you at his Hall of Fame induction"(commenting on WR Mike Williams)

"That’s why [they] keep picking number two every year(commenting on the Colts picking Marshall Faulk)"
