Olympic is good. Solid top 10 book.

Unfortunately they are not competetive for my biggest sport, MLB.

They get the odd bet from me through the summer (boxing/nascar/golf/tennis/MLB props) but for a book to be at the top of my list they need to be doing strong business 12 months a year.

I'm not sure I agree with that. In fact I'm sure I do not and I have been to both. They are both super-heavywieghts. I like the fact that Oly is the same year after year although the dark color scheme always made me wonder. CRIS is trying so hard to dominate but maybe they are trying too hard with all the website changes.

Both are similiar with legends at the top and top management teams.

The funny part is everyone always knocks their baseball lines and says "I won't play baseball there".

Guess what...they don't want you to anyway. LOL Baseball is the least profitable sport for books and it is no big loss for Olympic if you take your baseball action elsewhere. They still get plenty of action and don't get eaten up by dealing a dime line. They know you will be back for football which is all that matters.

I have seen some nice opinions there, 20 cents or not. Its not the place to play bases if you have one or two accounts. However, the sharp player who has the money to spread out is not going to empty his Oly account just because its summer time.

Exactly. Although those are your words, not theirs, there seems to be an arrogance. They don't seem to care as much as other books about what players' want.

That's why they are down in my personal ratings from where they could be. I would rather give a nod to someone I find to be more pro-player.

That's a very big assumption you are making that it won't affect their football action. I bet it will. Right now, players are coming out of the woodwork deciding what to do and (other than the occasional thread like this) Olympic is out of sight, out of mind.

Maybe we'll have to wait until next April and see if they're back to the dime lines on MLB before we'll know for sure.

OK that I would agree on. CRIS wants that online market and are making good inroads. If a big player comes to us and asks for the best phone book I think we usually say CRIS. If they are mostly online with some phone Oly and all internet Pinny. Cant go wrong with that lineup:

Hard to disagree with any of those. They are also one of my favorite shops although I play limited bases there.

Since 95% of baseball books get light action it has become a non issue anymore for books not offering dime lines

Do they have live online chat? Just took out 2 g's today to open 1, or 2 new accounts...may split between The Greek and 5 dimes... Greek is a solid book. I always look in Greek after Matchbook. (in NCAA and NBA)

When you got Greek & Matchbook, you won't need anyting else
