Default "F" Sportsbook.com

I applaud today's lowering of SB to D-, especially after the transparent attempt at a partial resolve of their theft. They are giving virtually nothing back. The only problem I have with the D- is that it implies a passing grade, albeit a very weak one. If SB continues to drag its feet on this matter, I urge SBR to drop their grade to the F range. Perhaps the rarely used F+ is in order. F for fraud and + for the fact that payments are still being made (2-3 weeks to get paid, pending account review). So please consider "F" ing SB before they "F" again.

I actually thought D+ to D was the proper move.

If you compare the D- group you have names like SBG which has been ripping players off for years. Not many could argue that Sportsbook.com is on the same level as an SBG. The Sportsbook.com hiest is most likely an isolated incident. At best, we dont know.

The D- rating is an indication that SBR does not feel the last shoe has dropped and that there is more to come.

Personally, I think history will prove this to be an isolated incident. Hope I'm right.

Got a pretty good offer this week from sportsbook.com offering 50% refund on losing nfl action, unfortunatly I haven't forgotten the six months it took to get paid out last time.

A D- rating suggests that many players get paid, but there are serious issues with the book. 98% of players at most books are long-term losers. If you've lost a lot more than you've won, you probably won't have your balance confiscated, or other unfair actions taken against you.

We reserved the "F" rating for deposit-only books.

They can't be downgraded low enough for the players who were robbed. But, we have to show a rating that warns players while giving future players accurate information regarding what kind of situation they are in. We try to reserve the F ratings for deposit-only and books that may steal from any winner. You could make a case that every book who has knowingly cheated a player should be an F.

Sportsbook may be pretending to be naive in order to cheat but a lot of people, including people in their own CS, think that the book is not out to steal from winners the way an SBG would. They think the book lacks people smart enough to understand and explain just how egregious this is.

Going forward I would summarize them as a book that won't hesitate to cheat advantage bettors.

Justin said it fine but because it takes me 20 minutes to get a post out...

Justin: If you lose much more than you've won, there probably isn't much of a balance period I understand SBR's stance on the F category and accept it. I appreciate SBR's tremendous effort in the SB theft case.

Its not over either. In fact it will never be over. They owe the money. It was clearly stolen. The search engines will populate and archive this for ever more.

In fact, Bill should do a national press release on this incident. hint, hint

Right. If Sportsbook.com is smart enough to measure how much this will cost them we very well could be revisiting this. Let's hope.

I think we have a start John. Now that their answer is in we can do more.

Good Job at exposing these frauds Bill and SBRJohn, keep up the good work for us and I do thank you for saving me from ever going over to these frauds that don't want to pay winners. I hope they get the message loud and clear that people are not going to go to them and go with the best books here that are honest and will pay you. Thanks for keeping away from these people and right along with Bet On Sports guys too, I think these guys are on the same track here with BOS.

The 50% refund for NFL losses is a fraud. This would give even the recreational bettor, or someone betting games at random a huge advantage over sportsbook.com. I don't know how any book could offer this type of a deal. Even if it was applied to a net result, like the entire season, I don't know how they can offer these deals without knowing in the back of their minds if it turns out to cost no problem they can pick the biggest beneficiaries and stiff them.

They are famous for putting out offers that can be exploited. Once they get beaten down they might come back after the fact and say well..cmon that's not what we meant ...no deal.

Can you post the TOS for the 50% promo?

Those are nice search results. SBR's news summaries coming up at the top is quite nasty for Sportsbook.com. I just hope new players bother researching it and find these before depositing with a new account.

Lets see what happens before we rate Sportsbook.com an F. I think this will turn out to be a 1off theft. A better case could be made for SBG being rated an F. They have a pattern of thefts which brought them to D-. Its probably time to pull them down to F or rarely used F+.
