Thumbs down Sportsbook.com dispute latest discussion updates

Sportsbook.com says they will refund losing correlated parlay wagers during the same period. They are going to send us a notice asking affected players to contact them.

SBR has made it clear that this is not an acceptable conclusion. The only reason they are trying to apply a rule that essentially does not exist is because there were some large parlay winners since the beginning of football. Had most players lost hundreds of thousands, this thread would not exist.

We will continue to push and try to illustrate how bad this decision will be for their business.

It's a start, but as you say, unacceptable as an overall solution. By my accounting, this gets me back nearly $2500 of the $9000 they stole. For that I'm thankful to SBR.

Sportsbook.com is offering a rebate on the stolen funds. We were told that players will receive this notice.

Recently it was brought to our attention that a very small number of our customers were placing wagers which were in breach of our house rules. Most of these customers were repeatedly warned about their behavior but continued to circumvent the rules by exploiting a loophole in our system. The decision was made to remove the winnings earned from these wagers dating back to September 1st 2007.

There has been some question as to why the similar losing bets were also not cancelled or 'no-actioned'. When we reviewed the accounts in question, the bulk of wagering activity was made up of those wagers which were clearly in violation of the house rules. Any player who believes that the removal of their winnings from these disallowed bets should also apply to their losing disallowed bets can contact us at expedite@sportsbook.com for an account review. We will then contact them directly to review, bet by bet, their account history.

If upon a second review of the account the decision remains that the customer repeatedly and knowingly exploited the system in order to place those wagers, then no further action will be taken. If we are satisfied that a minority of their wagers contravened the house rules, then we will also no action any losing wagers of that type within the same timeframe.

Please note we will not discuss any individual players accounts in public forums.

We have already taken steps to prevent any such occurrence again in the future and will work closely with any affected customers to resolve this matter in a timely fashion.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    VegasLegend,
I think you should forget about that call and try the email address they gave. Send us the response. Sportsbook is blatantly stating they will keep the winnings and losses if they like so you may get beat twice here. Very sorry to hear. This is a D- rated book today.

I wouldn't ask for a "review" unless my balance were 0.

Why aren't they an F rated book and put on the black list?

First off I was never warned about doing this!! I did not even know I was breaking the rules, and when I contacted them they told me they were not going to refund any of my moey(not even my losing correlated parlays)!! What they are saying above is nothing but lies and I guess I get what I deserve for playing at a D rated sportbook!!

    Bill:

This rebate won't affect many players, if any at all. The confiscation began because these players, myself included, played a large % of Correlated Pars.

    Vegas and Hedge,

I would have played these bets as well if in your shoes. I told Sportsbook that. Some of the folks there agree that this is not fair. We can only assure you guys that we will make sure everyone knows about this for as long as they are online. Maybe they will come to their senses someday. I believe we had complaints that were over a yr old addressed during our visit.

When Sportsbook's marketing sends advertising inquiries we will reply with the complaint list.

Sportsbook.com is ripping off not only these 31 net winners of correlated parlays, but every one of their customers who bet (over and fav) or (under and dog). If those customers who had a net loss on these were luckier enough to have a net win, sportsbook.com would have included them amongst the 31. So all parlay bettors at sportsbook.com in September faced the following unfair proposition: have a net loss for the month or we will cancel all of your wagers. I appreciate SBR not caving in like the RX and accepting what at first may sound like a fair compromise, but on further reflection is complete garbage.

It is garbage. A ploy to be sure.

I always said this book just does not care. They know the entire forum community now knows they are thieves. They will be a stiff book forever more. Do they really care? No. Sure they would have rather stolen the money with less fanfare. But even once caught do they do the right thing? No, no, no.

vegas legend, I don't think you get what you deserve for playing at a D rated book. The rating is the risk; the advantageous bets and bonuses a book offer is the reward. One must weigh the risks and reward. I have stuck to the best rated books because I am conservative and want a feeling of security. Tolerance for risk varies, and there is no right amount it depends on the person.

Good post. Not to mention that anyone who had losing runs before Sept 1 when the book didn't notice losses on these.

I think they should be a F+ because of what they have done here. These guys are outright stealing and they should pay dearly for that.

Bill, My account that had funds confiscated was not sportsbook.com but another skin. Should I still email expedite@sportsbook.com to see about getting some money back? Or should I contact the skin at one of their contact addresses and ask for a "review"?

I would email that address. Feel free to CC Assistance@SportsbookReview.com as well.

I received a call from mgt. today who wanted to let us know that all debited accounts were also credited for the losses. Do you have losing same-game parlays that have not been voided?

I didn't get any credit for my losses at SB (would be near $2500). Did you mean that SB has credited the accounts that they deemed worthy of a credit (which would be few to none)?

There are different levels of scams and crooks. We want to give future readers an idea of their chances to get out of an unethical sportsbook. An F- suggests the book is an English Sports Betting deposit-only scam where D- may be a book that cheats larger balance holders that the book doesn't think it can beat. Both books are on the blacklist.

We are going to add a new feature called "Status:" where we will summarize the problems. An A book would be "in good standing" and a Sportsbook.com Group book will show "Cheats sharp bettors."

I guess the issue is that D seems to cover far too broad a range of books. Just wonder if C needs to be used a little more for some of the D + books. D+ to D- does not appear to be a big drop.

wow these and previous developments against sportsbook are rediculous. I honestly cannot believe what happened to this book. I played for 7 plus years. just recently got out due to all the threads on this site. I used to get gifts all the time, money bonuses. now they are all over the place with ripping people off. did it all go wrong when they started having all those withdrawl problems? I also liked how they have plenty of exotics, and they dont schiester the lines: with 1/2 point add ons, like the book I am on now. they make you buy the have point for a worse payoff. so booty.

They sent me an email back explaining the the amount they took was a net amount.... The exact profit I made off the parleys during that time period. As far as bets being voided, I have no way of telling... All the bets are still being shown as being graded winners and losers. They just picked a number and deducted it from my account as far as I know.

Also, what they are saying about repeatedly warning players and these players only playing correlated stuff. Simply not true. I was never warned once and I played alot of other stuff there besides parlays. I'd wager that they haven't given a dime back to anyone since this came about and this whole "voiding losing parleys during the same time period" is just something they are trying to use to get people off their back.

Default Those with parlay net losses need to demand voiding as well

All those who bet (over and fav) or (under and dog), who had a net loss on these bets since Sept. 1 and thus had nothing voided and are not part of the 31 STILL need to complain as well. You deserve to have all your losses and winnings cancelled on these bets, just like the net winners, and thus get a net credit to your account.

What sportsbook.com wants to do is just find the net winners, and void everything. SBR please insist that they also void all winnings and losees on anyone who has a net lost on (under and dog) or (over and fav) parlays.

Also, if sportsbook.com does not do the above then they are ripping off not only sharp bettors, but recreational bettors as well and their status should be "in the process of stealing from sharp players often steals from recreational players as well"
