It is amazing. I have been reading and posting here every day since the start of August. Browsing through just about every little section there is. In all this time I have not realized we host tout articles. I will probably spend more time in the often dead site suggestions forum than the SBR front page. I get my ass handed to me on weekends as much as the next guy, but something about touts has never appealed to me.

I have to agree with JJ. I too have noticed a lot of touts posting on this site just looking for new customers. Posters should not be allowed to sell their picks on this site.

These touts are the worst out of any site, they are just clowns trying to scam new posters. How can SBR promote thieves stealing from innocent posters that do not know better? If any guy got scammed from them please notify me and I will take care of it.

I've seen you say this stupid shit before. I know several people who sell picks who have high percentage win ratios and I know for a fact they don't give 2 sides to a game and I know for a fact they don't lie about their records.

Perhaps some "touts" are guilty of what you suggest, but I know more than a few who are nothing like what you say. So give it a rest, the people here are smart enough to look at the track record of anyone offering picks and making up their own mind.

I have been tracking the front page picks. When there is a consensus those picks usually win. Anyone who played picks that had a strong consensus would have done quite well.

Why do you pay attention to these idiots? JJ's accusations are mostly fantasy. Yes, perhaps there are a few unscrupulous pick service operators out there. I always test the waters first. I ran across a site that said the author of the site was an expert in Parlays. I thought he was going to use some kind of hedging strategy so that a win was pretty much guaranteed. Possible if you really know what you are doing. I told him to send me picks for two weeks. I even set up a small account to play only his picks. The guy was so bad it was comical. It was very obvious he didn't know anything about advanced parlay strategies. He mostly picked 4 or 5 heavy favorites. I lost a couple of dollars on him, but had a good laugh.

Another guy wrote to me because I have posted my email address in here a few times. He seemed like a nice guy. Had a little bit of a different angle, he didn't charge you for the picks up front, he wanted 10% of the winnings. So, I gave him a try. I told him I would play his picks for two weeks for low stakes and if there were any winnings I would send him ten percent of the winnings and then I would up the stakes a bit. At the end of the two weeks I sent him a bill. LOL Luckily for me I didn't play this guys picks blind. So, his record was pretty terrible but I only lost a few hundred dollars because I didn't play a lot of his picks.

My point is, that if someone contacts you and you have no real way to check them out, then give them a try for small stakes and see what they do.

I have also done business with services that are easy to check out and they have the win percentage they claim since I have been following their picks.

So, like anything else in this world, don't do business with anyone on blind faith, and if you have doubts don't risk very much. I guess what I am trying to say is that the reward of finding a good pick service is well worth the bumps you will get trying to find them.

Touts don't bet because they cannot win and are too smart to use their own money to bet, please I advise know one to use touts and I mean no one.

The bottom line is if they were that good, they would not need to peddle their picks. In a field like this, I don't doubt that some of them are more than flamboyant advertisers. Some probably do put a lot of time into their picks, and probably do have a few good years under their belt.

However, keep one thing in mind -- they need your money. Don't give it to them. Use your own brain, make your own picks, and don't line somebody else's pockets because you're too damn lazy to put a little effort in yourself. What's the sense of betting sports if you have somebody else do it for you? Isn't part of the thrill, besides cashing your winning tickets, sharpening your edge and making good decisions? If you aren't capable of that, you deserve to lose money to a tout where you otherwise may have been more successful using your own mind.

It's never so black and white. Just as there are different levels of gamblers, so there are different levels of touts. I don't think the best touts would advertise to the gambling public, but I could see their recommendations being sought by serious investment groups. And as long as there are recreational bettors who just want some action to enjoy a game more, there's also room for the touts we see online. Believe me, it's not touts emptying the pockets of gamblers; it's books.

Great posts, all touts need your money because theya re starving and only know to scam people to make money. If anyone get scammed let me know because I have a hook in the FBI offices.
