A year or so ago this was a pretty cool place. Now you have to cherry pick through the crap to find something interesting. Not everyone has to be like Ganch, but I don't think I've ever seen a forum dumb down so fast.

I agree with you Dark Horse. A lot of Shittalkers here this season.

DH,
I have found that the ignore button is a wonderful button!
It has made my sorting the shit from the good stuff a whole lot easier now that I've added about a half dozen or so to the ignore list!
You may want to give it a try!

Good to see the responses. It does seem like a sandbox too often.
Possible solution? I know of one betting forum that has a special section (a 'HOF') for longterm members with a minimum number of posts. More recently they gave existing HOF-ers the option to vote new members in. This seems to be a good mechanism to preserve quality over quantity.
My ignore button is well used, Doc.

I've just spent the last few hours doing some regression analysis and I think I've nailed the problem.

This place could be a gem, where gamblers help each other to become better gamblers. But it isn't. And since we're influenced by those we hang out with, in real life or online, a dumbed down forum probably makes many here worse gamblers instead.
