Exclamation Do you bet Bookmakers early lines?

If not I strongly suggest you do.

I've been getting some great lines and think you will too if you just took the time to see them and bet em.

I've received emails and replies in my threads asking me what time do they post the opening lines.

Sunday Afternoons @ 3:30pm Pacific Time.

Check em out for yourself sometime and see if you find a gem.

I take a few leads but most of my plays come later on. Baseball is the sport that I do it most often with.

Yeah they are great - there are lines that just really stand out.
Boston College -12, I don't know if I'll want to keep it but I figured that was going to be a very easy one to sell later, was a good one this week.

This time of the night that just passed (3.5 hours ago to 1 hour ago) is my favorite this day of the week. 2nd Favorite is same time on Saturday Last Night / Early morning same hours.

On tonight - Pinnacle, Cris, TheGreek and BetJam = Great 4 way combo to just sit and watch lines.

On the Sat/Sun same time frame - add 5Dimes, WSEX + Bodgog the ones above.

Bookmaker/CRIS should be the place to bet NBA ML openers. It will be interesting to see who takes the lead in NBA this year between Greek and CRIS.

I would only take an early line if I really, really, REALLY liked a game and believed solidly that the line would end up several points higher by the end of the week. I mean look at the Dallas-Buffalo line ... you could have gotten the same thing last week when it opened right around 10 that you can get now. Sometimes the difference isn't so much in my opinion.

I bet late only and watch where money is being bet

Late money is much sharper than early money

I think it all depends on which game you are looking at. Some games would be a great value early while others would be better served waiting for the lines to move. Isn't that common bettors sense?

I am more a guy who likes to have the game come to him. I usually try to get a feel for the games as the week goes by and make my move then.

BetJamaica does a good job of getting thier lines up an hour or so after BetCris so if there is an early line I like I can usually grab it there like i did a few weeks ago with BYU -9 (winner) and ND +14 (loser). I'd love to have some money in Bookmaker but after the Neteller debacle it's harder to get money in for me. Just too much hassle.

Of course, if I really like a line. Then, I just hope it goes my way.

Generally, the so-called "public teams" will have their odds rise as the week wears on and the public starts to bet.

Thus, I figured I was being wise when I got down on USC early last week, at -38, and was smug when I saw it go as high as -41.

Yep, the good old Trojans, beloved by the masses . . .

Tho in general it's best to bet hot faves early, dogs late. Doesn't always work out to one's advantage, but it's the way to go in general

I will bet a few games early with them for potential scalping purposes later on during the week IF I feel the line is fairly weak.
