Default If you push on a free play...

do you get the money back in your free play account or is it just done?...I have been wondering this and have never had a push yet on a free play...does it depend on the book, or is it pretty much the same across the board...thanks in advance for any information...

It probably depends on the book. I had a push with a freeplay once at CRIS. After the push, the software seemed to count it as a loss. I talked to CS and they gave me another free play of equal value. Now, I try to play lines that can't push.

yeah, I'll definitely choose games that have a half point in them from now on...I would think that the bigger, A-rated books would give you the free play again...but some of the lower-rated books may not...anybody else with an opinion or an experience on this?...

I think it depends on the book. But I would think most good books would give you another free play

You always have to check the fine print but a book that says a push ate the free-play is going to rub players the wrong way...would not be player-friendly... would not be solid.

    Bill,

I agree...I would think they would treat it like any other push and refund the money, but it's something to think about...especially if slacker said that Cris's software didn't catch it when he had a push...good stuff...

It should never happen, play dog ML or parlays, or futures, or anything that pays at least +300

If you take the freeplay and bet it all 8 ways on a 3-teamer, you'll turn it into 75% of the freeplay amount, you'd need to hit 82.5% of your plays to do that betting -110 lines.

right brick, but we are wondering whether or not most books will put it back into your free play account...

doug, I have read this before...does anyone know if books have a problem betting the eight 3 teamers with your freeplay money?...

OK, so I called and emailed the books I play with that give out free plays (betcris, betjamaica, skybook and hollywood)...only skybook has a policy of putting the money back into your account if you push on the wager, the others do not (although I imagine if you called since they have great CS they may help you out)...however, to eliminate any confusion, as others have mentioned...make sure to choose a game (or games if you are doing the 8 different 3 team parlays) that have a half point in them...just wanted to update everyone on this, 'cause it almost happened to me again today when I had Northwestern +5 and the guy from UCLA recovered the onside kick, not once, but twice and took it to the house both times...

You're significantly better off taking ML dogs on freeplays than bets on the sides/totals.

Depends on the book, should be no problem at most books. I'm sure CRIS will do it.

    Doug,

I called and emailed Cris, Hollywood, betjamaica and skybook (the books I play with that offer free plays)...Cris changed their policy two months ago...the best definition they gave me is that the free play is a bullet, a one time shot...I mean, with the chances of the push happening being low and the CS being good at these books, I'm sure they'd make an exception...but when we know ahead of time we can play straight games with a half point, take a dog on the ML, or do the 8 3-teamers dough has mentioned (making sure to choose teams that have half points in the spreads), why risk it?...

did the 8, 3 team parlays today with some free play money...ends up being a 75% bonus, and as good as capper as I think I am, there's no way I could hit 75%...so thanks doug and everyone else for contributing...
