Hi Shawn,

Welcome to the board. Software is a popular discussion topic here. I'm sure you will get some good feedback.

For those who have requests or suggestions on the software side of books like Jazz, Legendz, Wager.dm and Horzion, Shawn is the man to talk to.

BLR I run things around here , the load times are too slow with Legendz and JAzz, solid books though.

Jazz is faster, the lines screen should be a little wider to the right. I am playing with it more and actually not that bad.

Could you get the ABCIslands software to extend my timeout a bit longer than the current 2 or so minutes that it's set at now ? Thanks in advance.

No, there's no delay on the bet confirmations.

I'm talking about how quickly their website logs me out, causing me to have to log back in using my username/password.

Actually there were some comments about Legendz software and that is what brought Shawn over. He has nothing to gain directly from putting himself out there for posters. It isn't often you get to skip the middle man when giving software feedback to your book.

Halifax,
I am guessing that is something the software user sets in their backend. It would probably be different at ABC and an Atlas.

Hi jjgold - nice to meet you.

Regarding your suggestions we will take them into consideration for future updates all suggestions and feedback is encouraged!

re: speed issues - all speed is really dependant on each books individual server and bandwidth setups. As many of you know the servers are most normally located in overseas locations like Costa Rica, Panama and other countries so some lag is normal depending on the routes.

We will be happy to pass along any speed complaints to our customers for analysis and to see about correcting any serious issues.

re: rounding off the dollar amounts - your suggestion will be considered for future updates/development.

I am having the same problem as Halifax. It never seemed to time out this fast until about a month ago. Now it times out faster than any other site I know - which is a royal pain in the ass.

Ok - I've forwarded this onto the technical department to be researched and resolved.

The last time I experienced this issue was 30 seconds ago, give or take 10 seconds.

I realize that the length of time before a customer gets logged out is probably a decision made by the individual book, so you might not have any control over that.

However, ABCIslands did some sort of software upgrade 2 or 3 weeks ago, and ever since then, I have been experiencing some problems that I never experienced before, including:

1. Prior to that upgrade, I used to set the auto-refresh in my browser to refresh the website every 5 minutes or so. This successfully kept me from getting logged out of the ABCIslands website. However, since their software upgrade, this technique of using the auto-refresh in my browser has not worked, and I get logged out despite the fact that my browser refreshes the website periodically.

2. Since the software upgrade, there seems to be various types of glitches that did not exist before. One of the most common glitches occurs after I put in a bet at ABCIslands. After the bet is confirmed, and I click the 'OK' button to return to the main betting screen, I often get logged out ... not all the time, but maybe 10-20% of the time.

3. Like Drunken Lullaby, since that software upgrade, I am getting timed out faster than ever. I would guess that ABCIslands does not purposely want this to be happening to me ... I think it is, more than likely, a problem with the software that somehow began when they upgraded the software a few weeks ago.

P.S. The website still sucks in its present condition (post-software upgrade).

Maybe everybody else has already figured it out and I'm just slow, but: which books' software are you responsible for. Also, are you interested in comments that don't pertain directly to those books' software, but to our likes and dislikes in general?

I also play with one of Jazz family books and have noticed being timed out way too quickly.
Also can you make it so it does not require a seperate window opening from the home page when logging in?

Hi,

The timeout issue that you had previously mentioned was pinpointed on their servers and has been corrected. If you are still receiving errors for this please either drop me a direct email or let me know in the thread what type problem your still seeing.

Regarding the 'website still sucks' comment - your referring to the design? layout? colors? Those are areas that are well out of our control but we can always suggest to our customers to make your experience with them more comfortable.

From my vantage point, nothing has changed ... all of the problems that were outlined 10 days ago are still present ... the most important (and most annoying) of which is the super-fast timeout.

That is what I was referring to when I said "the website still sucks in its present condition" ... the same problems that were mentioned earlier still exist ... I have no major complaints about the design, layout, colours, etc.

This is a feature that is based on personal preference - we will certainly consider this for future software releases.

Also on a side note - as you may or may not realize - all sportsbooks that use our software or others prefer not todo any major changes to either structure or look and feel during the main season. (football)
