Default Ladbrokes and their motor racing rules

The last weekend I had place a formula 1 bet at Ladbrokes, Sutil to finish in the points, that means to finish in the top 8 places.

Sutil crossed the finish line as 9th, but the driver who finished 8th has passes illegally during the race, so in few minutes time, he got a 25 seconds penalty, so the official results that can be found on the official formula 1 sites say this :

    8 20 Adrian Sutil Spyker-Ferrari 67 +60.1 secs 19 1 point
    9 18 Vitantonio Liuzzi STR-Ferrari 67 +80.6 secs 22

And at the bottom of the page :

Note - Liuzzi finished eighth, but had 25 seconds added to his race time for passing under yellow flags.

So, I was expecting to be paid, but Ladbrokes has settled this bet as lost.

I've contact with them via email and their reply for not paying is this :

I can confirm that Ladbrokes payout on the podium finish, we do not pay out on amended results. We can confirm that Sutil came 9th according to the settlement rules.
If we can be of any further assistance, please contact us again and we will be more than happy to help you.

I've checked their site about the rules, motor racing rules can be found here :

    http://fbg.ladbrokes.com/en/sports-t...ules-sports#19

As you can see there it says :

We will settle individual Grand Prix betting on the result of the podium presentation, regardless of any subsequent disqualifications.

So Ladbrokes rules are mentioning disqualifications but they are not saying anything about time penalties.

Now take a look at motor sport rules of thegreek.com :

Results will be graded at the end of the race as posted on the official site for that series e.g. Nascar.com, f1.com, indyracingleague.com etc. If there was an error on the site in the posting of the results, then the results will be regraded. If changes are subsequently made due to appeals or decisions of the governing body unrelated to the original finishing order (i.e. penalties for rules infractions, dangerous driving, etc.) the original results will still be deemed as the official results for grading purposes. Appeals and administrative penalties are not applicable for betting purposes.

Here you can see clearly that if I had taken this bet at thegreek.com the bet would be clearly lost.

Don't you think that Ladbrokes should pay me for this bet ?

Adding that Eurobet, who only counts the official results that are displayed at the official f1 site, paid all of those who took Sutil to finish in top 8.

    Please share you thoughts, thanks

No, I think they're covered by "podium finish". The results declared for that are before any DQs or Time Penalties.

Manual adjustment : A Sutil finished in 8th place - bets settled incorrectly with apologies.

It was a clear mistake, and after a dozen emails they paid. Only thegreek had rules about penalties.

I think the penalty was given before they reached the podium!

The Greek seems to finally have adjusted his rules after his mucho dinero stiff, but I think these are even more open for debate!

The stewards have seen the illegal pass during the race but Liuzzi got the 25 second penalty about 90-100 minutes after the race was over. Few minutes ago ladbrokes send me this :

I can confirm that a manual adjustment has been processed on to your account.

Please accept our apologies for the misunderstanding.
