Who, in your opinion, are the sharpest sportsbooks out there ?
Two books come to mind when I am asked this question : Pinnacle and StarDust.

Pinny has to be the sharpest with -104 lines.
But check out the exchanges such as Matchbook. Often they have -101 lines (-102 after you figure the commission). Plus, the exchanges are kinda iffy as far as limits and game selection are concerned at the moment. But, I imagine that as exchanges become more prevalent, limits and game selection might improve. If you stick to mainstream sports such as NFL or NBA, you can get very sharp lines.

pinny is sharp, low opener limits then when lines shape up still survive at low vig

Cascade is a pretty important book to watch. With their huge limits and low juice, they often move first or are ahead of lot of moves.

Pinny would be my first choice, Mansion the second.

i have bodog since 75 -80 % of my football beta are on dogs.although with atl on sat was the 4th time this year i was stuck getting 3 when 90%of all the other books had pushed to 3.5.at $250 per bet has cost me $1000.i have noticed on don best that shoes bodog with a 3.5 line yet after i log on it is down to 3.is it possible for them to post slightly different lines to different customers.

spanky, there's a thread on here about once a week about Bodog dealing different lines to different people. Apparently it's not that uncommon for other sportsbooks as well. I guess it's just part of the sportsbook business.Originally Posted by spanky
Sportsbetting 101 is to shop lines. Find that +3 1/2 rather than just getting +3. If you can't find it, at a A+ sportsbook, buy it. I bought a half point for a few games this weekend. If anyone bought the Bears down to -6 1/2 yesterday, hats off to you.
Sometimes getting that extra half point makes all the difference in the world.

cris definitely as well...any book that posts overnight lines has to be somewhat sharp...otherwise, they wouldn't put themselves at risk like that...
