    Thumbs up NetFlix?

Has anyone used this service before? Thoughts, opinions, view?

Like it a lot. I'm paying $16.99 a month and can have 3 movies at the same time.

Once you send one back the turn around time is unbelievably fast for the next one to arrive. I must have a fast postal service because it's 2 days at times. One day there and one day back.

Have had them for around 16 months, they will slow down your rentals if you are a heavy user but overall, they are a great value.

Do what I do. Go to the public library...all the movies there are free and you can check out as many as you want

I thought everyone downloaded movies off the torrent sites.

Just do what I do and complain to them. They will either give you an extra movie ( one time) or give you a discount on next month.

P.S. You could always just cancel the service and they will discount it for three months.

That is what I did until my ISP started to block individual sites. I still have a free megashare account that I can get movies off of.

I do the cheapo plan, $8.99 for 1 movie at a time. If your mailman isn't a bitch and picks up your mail on-time, you can easily get two movies per week. Well worth the cost.

i get movies from the library sometimes, but they're always scratched to shit. its like people are using them as frisbees on a gravel road.

about netflix, i've never used them , but i have friends who do, and they all like it.

Have you ever noticed that your delivery from NetFlix gets slower if you keep that trend of two per week over an extended period of time? They'll wait an extra day here and there. It's happened to me a few times, I think they get pissed that we're working the system in our favor.

I've been with them for over 3 months now. They have done it to me 3 times so far.

I've received about 26 movies from them. 11%

thanks for the offer indianachris, but i can burn movies if i want. i'm just not a big movie collector, i just watch stuff and move on. my sisters boyfriend gets bootleg copies of movies somehow, the kind where someone filmed the movie in the theatre, kinda crappy quality, but still watchable. sometimes hes got movies before they even hit the theater, they're kind of like a rought edit, its like someone who works in the editing dept. in hollywood on the movie releases a rought-cut somewhere online. what i mean is some of the movies hes got in the past, when your watching it, the screen will have like the reel numbers and have running counters going either on top or the bottom of the screen and the movie doesn't flow smoothly, you'll watch one scene ,then when it goes to another scene theres a break and you'll see all these reel numbers and dates and film roll and location etc. etc.

Normally I stay away from cams because of the poor quailty but it is easy to find DVD screeners online. The screeners are just like a retail dvd but with minor flaws. Normally I can get an exact DVD copy 2-4 weeks before it is released in stores.
