watched the first minute and half and had to stop because I couldn't decide if this was a comedy or a drama... Not nearly half as good as my favorite, the all time great "The Incredible Mr. Limpet" ...

No movie can even hold a candle to Dr. Strangelove.

I just watched the whole thing. It's not a huge eye opener, but some of the stuff I had heard for the first time. I think any person who isn't blinded by the media or the government will arrive at some of the same conclusions.

    yes i bowl.
but not very often. is it because i'm from milwaukee that you ask?

even around here many bowling "centers" (they don't like being called bowling alleys) have closed due to lack of interest.
it's pretty much a dead activity these days as people would rather sit on their ass and watch tv for the most part.

It's also pretty ironic the reactions of some to the movie are subconsciously pretty apropos to the way Americans are portrayed throughout. How many who watched the first few minutes then closed it would have continued watching if it were Jessica Alba in a skimpy outfit?

Pulp Fiction is still the best movie ever, best story, best dialouge, and some of the funniest scenes ever! " You just shot Marvin"

To continue the other movie discussions, I'd nominate Goodfellas as my overall favorite picture. OP you should have titled the post differently to generate some interest and discussion to what you linked.

From what I could gather from the first 90 secs it is a comedy about war... Definitely doesn't hold a candle to M*A*S*H* (the greatest war movie ever)

that is the best movie with bowling in it. some local guys here started a lebowski festival. i think the site is lebowskifest.com

i love all the cohen brothers movies.

back to the topic of greatest movie ever. i hate lists of greatest or best movies. there is just to many for me to pick just one, all of the ones people have named so far are good. i haven't seen the first one listed yet. i'll have to check it out.

My favorite movie is still "Aliens", even after 20+ years.....The last full hour is just completely non-stop action, something I've rarely seen in any film since. Then again I'm a Sci-Fi junkie, so I guess my view is very partial.

Guess it was a breakout movie for a few (Paxton, Reiser, All Xenomorphs...)

It's a non profit piece done to try to open peoples eyes. It covers society in depth, religion, politics, and it has tons of interesting facts and stuff to digest. It has a lot of painful images of 911 and stuff as well, it's not a fiction or something 'entertaining', the fact that it was introduced as "best movie ever" was a little misleading. This thread would have been better just focusing on this piece because it's far from a traditional 'movie'. I would really recommend watching it.

what a show only 2 hours of seeing everything in a dif way. great movie to just seat and listing to everything they said. I notice something about when they do drills on a day of the bombs or any other drills it really happened.

if i started the thread saying that it was about a "conspiracy theory" movie that debunks jesus, the u.s. government, and the federal reserve in 3 different parts i don't think we'd be up to 26 posts.
unless i responded 20 times myself.
