if you ever been to macau, those casinos don't offer alcoholic drinks for free. they usually give you coffe, tea, or sode when you play. so these are some hardcore gamblers. they would sit there for 10+ hrs without moving. plus, the #1 drug in macau is meth. casinos usually have girls delivered them to the vip rooms, i don't know how vegas can compete...macau's gambling revenue has already surpassed vegas. last month, the new venetian opened near macau airport, better than the vegas one. the next time i fly there, i'll check it out.

bacarrat is the most popular. then sic bo, blackjack (perpentual shuffle machine), roulette (american).

and there are couple of games that i don't really know how to describe it. depends on you bankroll, if you get to treated as vip, it is very nice. i guess it is like vegas, just substitute california/texas blonds with asian girls.

the triads still hangs out there and they still have interest in a lot of businesses, but it has cleaned up a lot over the years. you usually see those young-hooligan looking guys hanging out in front of the casinos that want to offer you credit. if you want to go, becareful...english is not really the offical language there. cantonese is, so just stay in the nice areas so you won't get mugged.

just walk up to them and talk to them. not sure if they talk to gringos. i guess they need some kind of collateral...usually their members need to verify you do have money back in your own country so they'll force you to sell your property back in the states if you don't pay them back.

My first thought is China. I remember being in Prague playing at a few different casinos and they were packed with asians... over half. Thinking to myself there are very few asian tourists on the streets here... they are all in the casinos. I assumed that if they are doing it in Prague, they're probably doing it everywhere else too. If casinos weren't part of the equation though, I would say Asians are not anywhere near the top with sportsbetting?
