CONTEST RULES

1) Contest Dates
a) Contest begins Wednesday, 05 Sep 2007 (once The Prick has posted his picks for week one games played 6-9 Sep) and runs through Sunday, December 30, 2007.
b) Week 1 (Saturday, September 8 & Sunday, September 9) and week 2 (Saturday, September 15 & Sunday, September 16) are noted as The Prick’s Preseason. Prizes will be awarded for the weekly winners, but points accrued in those weeks do NOT count towards the season ending grand prizes.
c) Beginning in Week 3 (Saturday, September 22 & Sunday, September 23) and running through Week 17 (Saturday, December 29 & Sunday, December 30), all points will count towards the season ending grand prizes.
d) To be eligible for the season ending prizes, a contestant must play in 13 of the 15 weeks beginning in Week 3 and running through Week 17.
2) Sign-up: Contestants will need to do the following BEFORE being eligible to enter the contest:
a) Contestants must register as an active poster at SBR Forum.
b) Contestants must provide their real name and mailing address during contest registration for verification purposes and in order for SBR to deliver weekly prizes.
c) US citizens who win season-ending grand prizes will be required to provide their Social Security number in order to receiver their prize(s).
3) The Prick will make four (4) selections from the Saturday-Sunday college and NFL games listed as of 5:00 p.m. (ET) on Tuesday of each week.
a) Among the four picks, one will be designated one as The Prick’s ‘best bet.’
b) ‘The Prick’ shall list his picks in the Contest Forum thread no later than 9:00 a.m. (ET) each Wednesday.
4) Once The Prick has made his selections, those four games will be removed from the board and contestants may begin to enter their four (4) picks from the listed games in the designated weekly thread.
a) Contestants will designate one of their picks as their ‘best bet.’
b) Contestants must have their selections posted no later than 11:00 a.m. (ET) each Saturday.
5) Scoring:
a) ‘Best Bets’ that win are worth +2 points; losing ‘best bets’ are worth -2 points.
b) All other winning picks are worth +1 point; all other losing picks are worth -1 point.
c) Pushes count as zero (0) points.
d) Best score for a single week is +5 points; worst possible score is -5 points.
6) As the name of the contest specifies, any winner(s) must Beat the Prick. If, for example, The Prick tallies three (3) points for a given week, any winner(s) must score four (4) points to Beat the Prick.

7) Payment Policy: At the conclusion of each weekly BTP contest, a list of winners (if any) will be automatically generated. On the first business day following the conclusion of each weekly contest, the list of winners will be verified, and all valid weekly winners will be sent a check for $100 via US Postal Service to the contact name and address provided on their BTP entrance form. In the event that any weekly winner is deemed fraudulent and thus disqualified based on the criteria listed in the Fine Print below, the prize in question shall be forfeited and awarded to the next highest scoring qualified weekly contestant. Weekly winners can expect to receive their prizes in 5-10 business days, depending upon their physical address.

Duh! Why don't you find out the facts before you make stupid comments. Under 1-b of the rules it says the 1st two weeks are noted as The Prick's PRESEASON. RM18 was correct in his question and you need to verify before you make fun of someone in your post.

And remember, this is 16 weeks. If you go down 0-4 the first week dont panic. The winners last year came out of no where in the last 6 weeks. Top 15 are in the money so stay with your best capping.
