Jim Rome had to toughen up his image by growing that goate or whatever the hell it is.Everyone needs a gimmick to make it in show bizz these days and he found his.Telling the truth about all that's wrong with sports,athletes and stadium-arena welfare and what a scam recruiting a criminal element to play college sports never shows up with these so called hard hitting types like Rome's show though.When you come right down to it,people like Rome still have to do alot of butt kissing to get on the good side of people they rely on to do business.

The the Jim Rome inverviews with Don King a few years back were hilarious, but it's been downhill since then. Luckily for him, he has a huge following of similar minded pudding heads. Rome does pull some interviews with significant people from time to time, amazingly.

I use to be a big Rome fan when i was younger but that guy has become ridiculous and his ego is out of control. Not to mention his callers all sound retardad reading off a script and using the same expressions. I think Rome has lost all credibility...that guy is in the same league as Stephen A Smith in my opinion.

the guy had to change his name because everybody would just combine his real first and last name and run around calling him ASSCLOWN all the time.
