Confusin About SBR Staff Betting??
Quote:
|
For those that are not familiar with the JJ/Raiders comedy tandem, SBR Mgt staff does not gamble and no one associated with SBR is involved in giving or requesting credit.
|
Lol..........Big Boy Dan flaunts his bets all over the boards, this guy is always saying he has a nickle on this game and a dime on that game, he is an action junkie.
Ganch is barreled in

Mostly wrong.
We do not have a bunch of "cheap workers" here in the SBR Costa Rica office. We have a few very talented programmers who are paid well above the average salaries in this country.
GanchrowHG is not affiliated with SBR; nor does he reside in CR, to the best of my knowledge.
No one in this office plays into any books that SBR rates and reviews.
The Prick does not get any action.
jjgold has not been to this office.

Well coach I can assure you that Ganchrow, onlooker, and myself are not part of the management team. So needless to say were allowed to wager offshore if we wish.

Danny likes making big cake off the Reds. He has killed the books this year by taking Cincy...

Its a good policy. I really dont want anyone who works for SBR gambling. But there is only so far you can go with a company policy. Back in the early days books would throw a dime in an account and give it to one of the SBR guys and say use this to test us and withdraw it anytime you want. We had to stop all of this. We dont accept any gifts or travel, betting accounts, ect. We don't have any favors to return either.

I used to work in sports info at a university and we weren't supposed to gamble either. In fact in athletics. no one, from the AD down to the secretary, was supposed to bet on sports, especially college sports. But I knew plenty who did.

Damn, Raiders, you ever ask a question you DON'T already know the answer to? like, for example, maybe, just off the top of my head, "Has anybody gotten their money fromBetonSports yet"?

Great and totally proper policy to follow, and to follow rigorously.
Virtually every business in the world will try to whore out a regulator, even unofficial ones like SBR. Look at how the American food and drug companies have whored out the FDA, which refers to the drug pushers as "our clients." (Isn't that whore agency supposed to have the American public as their "clients?")
It's hardly surprising that the books in CR or elsewhere would want to turn SBR into their private prostitute. They clearly have done that with many - probably most - of the other sites.
SBR appears to be trying. The "no gambling" policy is a sound one, for those working in or near any decision-making function. Moderators working with no decision-making ability should be allowed to bet -- in fact, it's almost essential that they do so. As long as they don't come on touting a D book - then I'd be suspicious that their most loved book has dropped a dime on them, LOL.

Johnny, that is the way business works. You scratch my back and I will scratch yours. Johnny send me all of the free gifts and comps since I am not a SBR employee.
Anything that sounds Italian can be shipped to me and I will pay the shipping costs. Johnny don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

If you don't want me to play offshore John I will go back to playing with my locals full time. I don't really have a problem with that at all.

Mods are not part of the no gambling policy at SBR.
JJ they can do what they want alright but this is not such a big industry. Every BM out there has my cell and they will call me if one of our guys starts playing. They call me on you too. Like claiming you had a reverse parlay but forgetting to actually ask for it. I heard how you had them play the tape 4 times. So good intel is not a problem and the SBR team is aware of that.
