For an "A" rated book, these guys have alot of problems, especially the horse racing platform. Understanding any book can have technical issues, these guys have had more problems and worse problems than any book I've used. A couple months ago, they were down for about 4 DAYS, and since then, it seems a downtime of at least 12 hours happens almost weekly. And the 4 days down was to completely replace the old system

Apparently, the problems spread to almost everywhere in 5Dimes today. It was difficult if not impossible to login the last 30 minutes before the early NFL games, and they admit to having problems with the grading software today as well.

Reliability should be a component of a books grade, including their sports, horses, casino or whatever they offer.

I deposited with them recently and also am not impressed. They have had the best line available less than 1% of the time.

The one thing I think most of us U.S. players can agree on is that they do have more funding methods for us than some of the other books out there.

I have had no problems with them this past year.
There payouts are no slower or faster than the rest of the industry now

They placed 7th overall in the posters poll. Overall, I think their A rating is accurate.

Individually we can only go by our own experience. Pinnacle set a standard that may never be matched, but in any case, fewer seem to be defending 5Dimes with a nice review than those who have issues. IMHO, 5Dimes has more positives AND negatives than almost anyone out there. Personally, the negatives are gaining on the positives.

Here's my latest example. They misgraded a wager, admittedly for a small amount. When I called them on it. I was told "We're busy right now. Call back when all the games have started and we'll see if we can deal with your little problem." When a book misgrades a bet, by their own rules, that is not a "little problem". In this case, the wager was a pleaser with a win and a push, which according to their own website pays even money, here's the wording:

If a two-team pleaser has a tie and a winner, then the pleaser pays even money.

If a two-team pleaser has two ties, then the wager is a push.

The latest update is the horses were fine yesterday, but today, the horse bets must be made through the sportsbook platform, meaning something less than a full complement of wagers. Several examples are: no daily doubles at ANY track today, no exator or triactor at Woodbine, no wagering at all for Turfway OR Arlington today, and both those tracks are 10% bonus tracks.

These are problems even Sportsbook.com never had.

it is easy to get money into them. that is about it. if you largest bet is under 100 dollars, then there is nothing to complain about.

5dimes is bad because (not in sequential order)
1) 9x rollover on bonus
2) 30 days waiting before cashing out (this is not that bad, you just have to wait)
3) 30 cents lines on non-us sports
4) they lower your limit if you triple up on your account within a week
5) they change the line on you before you bet (for some people)
6) bonus is free play not real money


here are some nice things about 5dimes
1) book to book transfer to matchbook (easiest way to get money to matchbook right now...assuming you don't lose it betting at 5dimes)
2) reduced juice lines...sometimes it is better than matchbook and pinnacle
3) so many funding methods...for small amount that is. i wouldn't trust 5dimes with more than 2k in my account.

Iam not gonna say this poll means nothing, but it is obvious that some books are still very overrated because of the smaller players.
Nothing against them, but they are useless when it comes to rating books..the quality of a shop shows when you win big.

I think 5Dimes as an A Book is about right; they do quick payouts and have reduced odds. Bookmaker at A+, however, is a joke--especially given their poor CS and they ripped off my bonus. Other than horses, Cris/Bookmaker has a lot less to offer than other A Books. At least take the + off Bookmaker; an A rating would still be generous.

I'm still not crazy about their software. Hoping they will upgrade but not counting on it. Biggest annoyance is that I get logged off the site if I'm idle for 10 minutes or more.

I didn't realize that 5dimes was capping off winner prices at an additional 10%; that does beat Bookmaker's 3% rebate on WPS. However, Betonline's 7% rebate is for all types of bets , win or lose, and includes most tracks--even some of the really small ones.
