Well it is interesting but I disagree with some of the measures. I mean, for me, I don't play teasers or parlays so I really can't say I know much about them but have never really studied them. Maybe not playing parlays makes me square but the questions are a bit bias in that respect....

While I will play a 2 team parlay..... I couldn't tell you a teaser rule if my life depended on it. I agree it was biased in that regard.

Typical academic stuff, you have to study to give the teachers what they want to hear.

I got 10 out of 20, let me study the textbook and I'll pass.

I disagree with some of their answers. If someone is bankrolling me and I hit 53% on 200 plays I do the straight bets.

    Example 200 plays @53% is 106-94
That is a $260 gain on each 100 unit bet per game.

I would rather do that then my only play picking one team to win it all on Super Bowl.

Sorry guys dont buy that theory.

I gotta disagree with the answer about bonus terms. If a player is going to do the 5x rollover anyways (which MANY will) they would prefer a 20 percent bonus vs 10 percent.

You should probably stop telling Ganchrow that he doesn't know his math, because you are wrong every time.

    2 team parlay 55%

    5-4 = 55% Round Robin

    10 wins 26 losses

Based on $100 unit parlays $3600

    10 wins pays $2600 26 losses = -$2600 result = 0

    Take $3600 and bet straight

    5 wins = $2000 4 losses = $1760

    straight bet advantage $240.00

    5 team round robin @ 60% teams go 3-2

    $100 units 3 winners= $780 7 losers= -$700

    profit $ 80

    straight bets using same $1000

    3 winners= $600 2 losers= -$440 profit $160

    So $00.00 is greater than +$240 @ 55%
    and $80 is greater than $160 @ 60%

Buddy you have to hit more than 60% to gain advantage

Whoever put this together this was a really awesome quiz, thanks. I like how it gives the explanation after the fact. I always get pissed off filling out these quizes on other sites and then either they don't tell me anything but score or try to sell me something after.

    You're somewhat sharp
15 out of 20 correct answers.

    I got wrong:
Which of these bets would not be a "basic strategy" NFL teaser selection?

Thought I was right on this one, was good to learn something here.

You are studying several handicappers, trying to decide which record is most meaningful. If all bets were at even money, which record is most meaningful?

This one my first instinct was the correct answer, not sure why I did not change it.

You are a talented handicapper and win 53% of all your spread bets. A "backer" offers to make any bets you want for a season with no restrictions, and give you 10% of the winnings. Morals aside, what strategy gives you the best EV?

This one I guessed, I thought maybe the clue was a trick so didn't take it

Which statistic is most useful for finding NFL spreads that are off?

I had no clue I though all this would be accounted for, made total guess.

At the end of the regular season, the Patriots have the best record in the NFL, and are +200 to win the Super Bowl. You want to bet on them to win everything. How should you bet it?

Good to learn here too, I thought my answer was correct.

i got like 6 right , but i guessed on everything cause i don't understand the math that well, or should i say, i didn't try to do the math, i just guessed. i don't play teasers, so i know poop about them.

Almost always with quizzes like this when information is missing to find the correct answer you need to make as little assumptions as possible.

With the 3x rollver bonus he is left with $950
With the 5x rollover bonus he is left with $927

Yeah most people would prefer the 5x bonus, but keeping with the question only which one is "best for the player".
It takes additional assumptions, rational, to force 5x 20% to be the right answer.

if you are sharp then you are also betting lines that are + EV not -EV so the higher rollover is not a drawback instead you will be making even more money while churning.
