Bet Cris Is Dirty!!!
I betted the game MLB WHITE SOX when the odds was +220.
But after the game has finished, BET CRIS has changed the odds to +170.
AFTER THE GAME!!!!!
Unbeliebable!!!
I claimed the book, and the book mailed to me,
"Dear Customer
Regarding your inquiry you need to know that the line managers move the lines and odds depends of what they need and they can change the line any moment by any circunstance.
They don't need permission to do it that's is management decision sir.

Yeah I don't like seeing sh*t like that... That's bullsh*t...
I was actually thinking about using Cris because of the Loyalty program and they have more halftime games then anyone besides Greek... If that happens to me once I am out...

Sounds like someone answered the wrong question.
That looks like a generic answer to why lines move? Is it possible there was a pitching change?

There is probably a good explanation like this was an action bet with a pitching change. However, that is a horrible email if that indeed is a real email sent by the book. We will take that straight to the GM if the player will forward it.

BetCris has alot of holes that have to be addressed but i can't believe that changing the line after the game has started is one of them. I've placed thousands of wagers there and never once have i worried about this aspect of their business. My guess is that the OP was either given a line change that he didn't notice and confirmed the new line change, or that as John says there was a pitching change. I agree with JC, i think someone just answered the generic question as to why lines change. Saying all this tho, if SBR does find out that this indeed did happen, there will be alot of people bailing out of there pretty quick.

I'll admit that sometimes the line changes and it tells you before you CONFIRM IT... I don't even notice on a few occassions because I am in such a hurry since I put my plays in so close to the start of a game...

if your talking about the game from the 4th for CHW, origanlly G.Floyd was listed then it changed to J.Garland, so the line would have moved.

Well, he did email CS first. We would have to see his inquiry to the book and their response to rate the CS here. Action bets confuse a lot of players the first time they see a pitching change.

Most books default to Listed pitchers, whereas Cris defaults to Action which IMO is something that should be corrected.

I know BETCRIS rules, I know that starting picth has changed.
But, his odds change is "AFTER THE GAME"
If the odds is +170, I would bet the funds on PINNACLE,about +180.
Betcris was +220, so I betted on this book.
And I have not received the mail about the odds change.
That's unbelievable!!! I think.

I don't think many books would do this
A lot of times the odds have moved in my favor after betting with CRIS and it would have been in their interest to change them. I have bet +7 on games that have moved to +3, and they (CRIS) have "allowed" me to keep the +7.
This sounds like a misunderstanding to me.
CRIS would go out of business very fast if they changed odds on a bet to their favor, once it is placed.

I don't understand what you are saying here? Other than pitching changes, I'm unaware of other situations where they can change a line after you bet. On a spread bet you get the line you play, it doesn't matter what happens to that line after you've bet. |

So you understand action rule but you don't now that they just adjust the new line ... if you take action you take as well the new picher line !!! that's what happend to you .... they don't change it after the game , you didn't realize about the new line when the new pitcher change , that's what happend |

Baseball, I'm not clear on the rules. If you bet +7 on a team in football, they can't change the bet to +3 just because the odds change. That's all I'm saying.

True enough. In baseball however since starting pitchers are so influential, you either select listed pitchers or action. If you have listed pitchers and there is change on the hill then you got not action. If you select action you are on the game no matter what, they are going to adjust the odds though depending on the new starter. That's what happened here, the line was changed due to a pitching change and the thread starter never realized it. Might not still realize it.
Never play action, I know a few will disagree but it's one of the most square moves you can do. You are basically saying I don't care what the price is, or who starts, I am going to bet this team come hell or high water. Of course playing bases into 20 cent lines at CRIS is another topic in itself. |
