    Default Skybook

What do we think about Skybook? They get a B or B- here.

You get reduced juice, they do transfers for free with Greek and CRIS and you can get a 5k wire for $100.

Also, I see Betmania was (is?) affiliated with them but in the Family/Ratings I don't see Betmania in the same family.

If I remember correctly Skybook was having funding issues there for a while, but don't quote me on that.

Now as far as Betmania goes... They claim not to be affiliated at all with Skybook in any affiliation with them. There current rating of a D is very generous as far as I'm concerned. Just checkout this newswire about them, and you will clearly see why there a jip book:

BetMania (SBR rating D+) once again arbitrarily cancels wagers

The player was allowed to place online wagers on opposing teams. After the event was over the bettor was informed that the winning wagers, the second set of bets, were canceled because of an unlisted rule. The player is told that the sportsbook does not allow middle attempts. However, BetMania has allowed players to buy back a position when the odds do not move in the bettor's favor. SBR will contact the sportsbook on player's behalf.

Player: Yesterday afternoon I placed two arena football wagers, NY +1.5 and Grand Rapids +12 at $250 each. Both won last night, but I awoke this morning to find out they were cancelled. The reason stated was that Betmania does not permit middling and I had bet the other side of these games two days earlier. Well, no where does it state in their rules about this absurd restriction, but Victor (wager manager) claims it is an "unwritten rule" (what?). He also says that the bets were cancelled before the games went off which I have no way of knowing if it's true. Fact is I could have made my offsets at Betjamaica and Skybook at that exact same lines, had I known about this apparent rule. Bottom line is that these were legit bets, not error lines, so they should stand. As such, Betmania owes me $500, and I am asking your help in getting it. Victor refuses to budge on this matter, and he is so wrong.

Up to $500 that free half point can be useful in college football. Especially for spreads within a half pt of 10, 14, 17, 20, and 21. The exemption of 3 and 7 makes the free half pt rather useless for the NFL.

Line moves in college also make it easier to get a full point. So if the game ends on 17, and you had -16.5 and +17.5, that's an easy $900.

I'd steer clear of them, but I only play with A rated books...at one point in time I think they had a solid A rating (actually used them two years ago), but I wouldn't touch them now...

I played with them for a couple of years and liked the
free half point. They pay quickly, at least they did. The only gripe I have and it is a minor one is that you must call them or email them and tell them you want the
free half point and even bonus I think. I had to call
a couple times before they set my account up properly to
get the half. It isn't automatic.

I also think they screw with the lines so that you can't
take advantage of a real line let's say of 2. They will make
it 2.5 thus you can't go to three. I could be just
paranoid about that, I may be wrong.

your not paranoid dante, I experienced the same thing...and then there were the -117 and -122 lines they shaded toward the side that was more heavily played, rather than just moving the number a half point...

    Pags

I guess we are right about that. I am sure they are very
afraid of getting killed on a middle. Especially a 10 or a 14.
So they do what they have to do.

You guys know that free 1/2 gimmick is there nitch in the industry. I personally don't feel it's all that great either really, but the 20% re-up bonus sure is.

Right, I don't remember ever winning or pushing on a free half point. Doesn't mean much I guess until it works.

You're right their bonus is nice. But, I haven't heard anything from them this year as of yet. Usually I get an email. They give a nice bonus and turnover isn't that bad.

the bonus is nice if you're a loser. If you win and withdraw, they'll make you put it back before getting a bonus.

They won't let me get a reload bonus unless I redposit $4,000.

Hmmm, no wonder I haven't heard from them this year.
I beat them last year for just a little money and no email and no contact. So if you beat them they don't want you back that is basically what they are saying.

How Bush, Oh this old saying now has a double meaning.
    Both very negative. haha
