Default My complaint about Globet

Hi everybody, I am new face on SBR forum.

I am a client for a long while but my relationship with Globet has been spoiled.
If You are a winning player Globet usually don’t accept Your wagers automatically but their workers determine about acceptance or rejection Your bets.

Situation which i describe took place last week.
I placed a bet at 00.03 (UK Time)
It was my selection :

Quote:
Tigres - Monterrey over 2.5 goals @ 1.73
The match started at 02.45
At 02.55 I logged to my account but my bet was still waiting for decision.
The score was 1:0.At 08.46 morning - over 4 hours after final whistle one of their customer service worker Mr.Alessandro send me a message that my bet has been accepted.
I send an email to their support and told them emphatically what I think about this proceeding.Their reply included rule 6.6 of their regulations.

Quote:
Rule 6.6

When requested by the system, the client will have to verify the acceptance of the bet by contacting Globet during business hours. For bets placed after close of business, Globet reserves the right to decide the following day. If no contact with the client is established, any decision taken by Globet regarding the bet will be definitive and binding after the start of the first of the selected events
If They make a decision after finished match They can do almost everything - accept lost bet or cancel won bet.In my opinion proceeding like this is very partial and causes a doubt about bookmaker fairness.

Globet...nice joke.
They have their ''famous'' risk department that decides about accepting bets or not.But even if they send you confirmation mail about the acceptance of your bets, still they can void everything with out notification. So, if you dont take a look to your balance/account you might never know that they cancelled your winning bets.
Furthermore, they are hiding behind their rules who are very strict, sometimes rediculous, and even if you end up in IBAS you will get absolutely nothing.I can tell you that from my previous experience.
Their CS will try to make you believe that you are crazy, even to apologize to them, i received this line after voiding my winning bets ''what dispute are you talking about?''
I m very carefull when i decide to register to a company and i can tell you that Globet is by far the worst book i ve ever registered.A black hole in my list.

Them deciding after the match has started whether to take your bet is absurd. The fact that you don't even get a decision right away on whether your bet is accepted or not would have to make most people decide not to play with them. The first time they did this I would be gone.

Hello rafalek,

Welcome to SBR and thank you for sharing your experience.

Globet has told me is that if a player places a bet at night and the match begins prior to the business day, the player can consider his bet live. Rossella went on to infer that the email you later received was a formality and that the bet would not have been canceled.

Manually confirming wagers seems archaic and I am curious how a book can be operated this way. I can only guess that they benefit from taking wagers on lines that move in their favor and denying those that do not. As odd as this is, if they grade these in-progress games consistently and do not cancel wagers on events that have began, there isn't much the player can do.

This brings us to nikosgr's experience where bets were reportedly canceled after they had been decided. You both are welcome to eamil your account ID and wager dispute to assistance@sportsbookreview.com. Rossella tells me she would like to take a closer look at these complaints.

But their rules state they decide after the games and this is what they have done. Their rules are basically a risk-free set up generator for the book and therefore unfair.

I've never seen any other book operate like that. If they don't have anyone in wagering to handle the late night action, they simply shouldn't be offering overnight lines. What benefit do you porvided your clients by offering lines, if they don't even know if their wagers have been accepted.

Definitely sounds like a place to avoid.

Hm...Rosella is now interesting for my problem...wow...SBR is opening doors that i was knocking/kicking for weeks with no success. But also i can't understand what kind of ''closer look'' are they talking about. My case went to IBAS and it was closed against me.(IBAS has a 85% decision in favor of books)

Pier,

I never did get the player info in order to take a closer look at procedure but we have received some CS complaints since. I would agree with the consensus opinion that this is a shop to pass on.

I was curious about Globet, because while I haven't bet with them lately, my personal experience with them was good. They paid fast and the CS was quick and exhaustive.

They used to be the only book to offer Italian regional leagues soccer matches and while their overround was very high, you could find some interesting prices.

They are very big on some European markets and I never heard of them abusing the rule 6.6, although I agree that it leaves the door open to controversy.
