    Default OT: Miss Teen USA

Does clip this remind anyone else of Dan Quayle?

You have to admire that ability to press on no matter how lost you are in your own mind.

Sad to say but, she had better pose nude now and sock away the cash before her looks go away. With that brain, I'm not sure she is qualified to work at Burger King.

That is hilarious! Obviously she is not the sharpest knife in the drawer, and I think she got too nervous (I will give her the benefit of the doubt, that she just got overwhelmed).

You are generous and probably correct in your assessment, Sir Winner.

I still stand by my recommendation of posing nude as soon as possible though. It would make the world a better place and, as a beauty pageant contestant, I'm sure she's all for that.

I think you're both right, she should pose nude and she's not the sharpest knife in the drawer. If she'd pissed herself, then I'd blame the nerves.

that was fu.cking brutal to listen to

you could hear the coaches speaking through her instead of her just giving her own answer

well, it is not easy to be infront of whole lot of people. especially she need 90% of her concentration to make her self look pretty and cute.

Can that really be true though? That 20% of "U.S. Americans" can't locate the USA on a map? Americans have a reputation for being extremely America-centric. It wouldn't surprise me if that many couldn't locate Canada but I would have thought they could find America - and draw an outline of all 50 states from memory - from the time they are in grade 3.

    Get naked and discuss.

You're underestimating the depth of our America-centricness. Once you understand that nothing of any importance exists outside the USA, the concept of locating the US on a world map becomes rather pointless.

The important thing is that we can find the United States on a United States map. I'm not sure if Miss South Carolina can even do that yet, but she's young. There's time.

it was a stupid fvcken question and an even stupider answer. What would have happened if she gave the correct answer that our education system sucks and obviously is underfunded and some of our teachers are horrid. But then again it wouldn't have made youtube unless she posted under joey slatts.

I remember sophomore year in world history. We had to label the continents on the map, major world rivers, etc. Some of these dumb ****s in my class could never label the 7 continents. It was pathetic, and we had to keep taking this test until everyone could do it. I was like this is stupid, these idiots should be eliminated from the gene pool.

I hate to say it but, on closer inspection, that girl has a bit of heft to her. She probably has a nice face under all that make-up but she is a touch wide to be talking about nude modeling.

By Friday....this girl won't want to come out of her closet. They just played it a dozen times on ESPN radio, none of the broadcasters could stop laughing. Is the Youtube up to a million hits yet?

We're talking shoe sized IQ here folks. The parents must me horrified.

After all the money they spent, she couldn't even come through for old mom and dad.

The best part was the fact that we don't have maps. I also enjoyed the unique use of Irasians. That must be like a new breed of Iraqi/Asian. You learn something new everyday.

Awww. Okay now I feel bad. She's just a kid and it's not like she was mean-spirited or anything. No one asks to be simple-minded.

20Four7 was absolutely right. What a horrible question. These beauty pageant kids are trained to be bright and sunshiney and God Bless America blah, blah, blah . . .

Then - BOOM! - suddenly they're asking her to critically analyze the deficiencies in the education system that result in Americans being embarrassingly uninformed.

    Seems unfair.

I do feel bad for her. I mean, I don't feel too bad for her. Some people are born that dim, and are ugly to boot. But still.

She probably learned that from going to George Bush's The Google.

I have no sympathy for her stupidity or anyone else's ignorance. This sort of embarrassment is exactly what these plastic, beauty pageant queens and their parents deserve. The question might have been silly to begin with -- I'm more interested in exactly how, when and where the survey was conducted -- but it's still no excuse for her answer. And please, all this crap about her being nervous and it not being easy to speak in front of a large crowd with cameras rolling is just that, CRAP! The only talent these pageant sluts are supposed to have is the ability to make public appearances and not screw the pooch showing off their 47 IQ.

Well, maybe she can look at the bright side...She seems to know a little about "South Africa", or at least has a soft spot for them (Assuming the South Africa she is referring to is the nation the rest of humanity, or most, are familiar with.)

Mudcat, it was a total meltdown. Unfortunately for this girl, the answer alone wasn't the funniest part. It was the dumb look on her face.....she almost went cross-eyed son.

Priceless moments like this captured on video. Shes become the internet goof ball sensation of the decade. 10 million Youtube hits by friday. It's been on Fox and CNN. A star is born.....

Answer the question then. What's a good answer to give in front of millions of viewers, of which 1 in 5 can't locate the U.S. on a map?

You have 5 seconds. America is watching.

Update: Damn, can't believe that was my first post here.

On the positive side, it's not like there is no work in America for a beautiful twit. Maria Menounos is an absolutely lovely, work-of-art girl who would be welcome on my lap any time. She does TV and movies. She is probably richer than I could ever hope to be.

Anyone ever see her being interviewed? Holy crap. She and Miss Teen South Carolina would have a lot to talk about.

Would you like for me to slip into an evening gown first?

I have no clue why 20% of Americans cannot locate the USA on a map. Next time you're walking down the street, pick every fifth person who passes you and ask them why they can't locate this country on a map. I have a hard enough time keeping up with my own ignorance much less tracking the ignorance of others.

    Welcome to SBR, Rain

Hmm. Tell you what: slip into the gown and post a pic, then we'll decide if it was a good idea or not.
