So I see an obviously bad offer at Matchbook...

...it is pretty bad...I think the offerer wanted to make the offer as -XXX but it shows as +XXX...its in a lesser known sport and it has been there all day. If I grab the obviously bad offer, what are the odds it will be voided? I am thinking about scalping it out somewhere else if possible, but I'd hate to see MB side voided and then end up losing the other side...

I think it depends how bad it is.

Bad isn't as bad on Matchbook, as it is bad at a bad book.

Boy, not sure how there can be a BAD LINE RULE enforced with an exchange.............but I've seen this happen every once in awhile at MB..............I HAVE ALWAYS JUMPED ON THE OFFER AND NEVER HAD IT VOIDED.

Its bad enough that I spotted it - took me a minute to realize that it was a bad offer. If this was a traditional sportsbook I wouldn't even bother, since we all know they'd void the bet. Of course MB is a different animal....I am trying to find any info at MB's website regarding bad offers, but I don't see any. The way I see it, it's the offerer's responsibility to verify that their offers are correct and what they want...I really just want to scalp it out...

Exchange betting is the law of the jungle. No bets should be voided.
In the past Matchbook are reputed to have voided bets when they themselves were on the other side, to my knowledge this has not been the case lately.

I think for an exchange, it's perfectly acceptable to pick up bad lines in fact it comes with the territory. It's your responsbility to offer sharp lines. If they posted a bad line then it's their fault.

My personal experience is that when I first started using MB, I made alot of mistakes trying to make offers and had many of them instantly picked off by sharks.

I think they have some clause in the rules to cancel some trades, like if a player accepted -99999 on something that should be -110. This protects a newbie idiot laying $1,000 to win $1, on a coinflip. That would be bad publicity for MB.

I had a cancellation that I recall, my memory is vague on it, something like this .....

H2 of NBA.

They had the fav and dog switched, lets say a 5 point line.

I make an early offer ( that is accepted) so I get what should be the fav, but at +5, and + money. They voided it, and flipped the lines. This was all in a few minutes.

I wouldn't have found that if I tried, from your description. I'm surprised it lasted at all.

I'd have been looking under cricket and Shiit trying to find it .

It just might cancel, I'd only keep this leg of it.

This is similar to my cancel on flipped lines of NBA H2.
