Exclamation another betcris issue....look at this

log into betcris and goto cashier as if you are going to make a deposit

see if your browser goes into SSL mode (secure mode....you'll see a lock icon in the lower right corner or at least you SHOULD)

I went to deposit last night and the browser was not in secure mode. I told the live help and he confirmed on his end that his browser was not in secure mode either. He said he would tell his manager.

I check today assuming it would be fixed but it still is not fixed. there is definitely no lock on my browser and I don't think the icon would be hidden but still secure for any reason because that makes no sense to the user

    guys go check it out

Lot of books don't use secure connections. I pushed several years back on the forums for more of them to do it, but didn't get much of a response. With the hacking issue of late, I would think more books would go this way. It isn't that hard with even a basic IT staff.

so am I to assume betcris does not use secure transactions for there transfer of financial information?

    isn't that a major problem?

When I spoke to them they said cashier transactions were secure.

another clue for secure transactions is the protocol will go from http to https

it is not doing so for the cashier portion of betcris

hopefully threads like this one and the one I started don't make Cris hate us...I just think they can use us as a suggestion box of sorts to make their site/ company run more efficiently...

    Lightbulb It is secure

The cashier for both DSI and CRIS is running in an IFRAME, which is the reason you do not see the padlock or https in the address bar.

Login to the cashier, pick any transaction method you want and right click, open in new window. You will see both the padlock and https.

bottom line is that these guys take care of business...the reason I spent so much time researching books is for circumstances such as these...any book can put out lines and take your money...but good software, good CS and quick payouts--now those are rare around the net...I can't tell you how happy I am with the way these guys are handling my situation...
