i am still in the commission free period so i am wondering how does the commission works when my free ride is over.

on their site it says 2% commission of net winning. i am assuming net winning refers to net winning of a single event, right. let's say you bet kc at -106 and kc over at +100...that is two seperate events, so commission would calculate seperately? let's say you bet kc ml to win 100 usd at -106 and kc over to win 100 usd. assume the final score is 5-1 kc won. (won the ml and lose on the over). i assume your over loss does not offset your ml win? and you end up with winning 98 dollars on the ml and lose 100 dollars on the over...so you're down 2 dollars after the game is graded and commission taken out?

or they offset each other and you're not charged commission at all because your net winning is 0?

Correct. You're down $2 after commissions.

No, they're considered separate events for the purposes of calculating commissions.

If, however, you bet $100 to win $100 on the KC ML, and then, after a line move, bet $100 to win $105 on KC's opponent, if KC won you'd have a "net win" of $0 for the purposes of calculating commission, while if KC's opponent won, you'd have a "net win" of $5 (and hence a commission of $5 × 2% = $.10).

i guess if i want to win even 100 dollars i really have to bet to win 102.04 to offset the 2% commission.

I just factor in the 2% before I place my wager...so if it shows -102, I know that I'm paying -104...now I know that you don't get the money taken out unless you win, but with each wager I make I add the 2% in there in addition to my win ammount...

Q: If you place an offer on the Matchbook exchange at a line of L, what would be the equivalent line at a sportsbook?

• For L ≤ -100 (-100, -101, -102, etc.),
  the sportsbook equivalent line = L / 98%.

to make the calculation simple. pinnacle has -104/-104 lines

with 2 cents lines, i guess MB has -101/-101 lines...-101/.98= -103.06

that is still a little better than pinnacle after the commission. you save 84 cents per every 100 dollars you bet on MB rather than pinnacle.

Presume a 2% commission. If a line is -110 it becomes -112.2. The math is 110/98 (since 2% of the winning 100 is removed). If a line is +375 it becomes +367.5 (375*.98).
