Intertops(SBR rating B-) raising betting limits and encouraging professional’s action?
SBR has learned that this low-limit sportsbook will soon join the DonBest premium line service as well as the G&J Live service and raise betting limits. An Intertops spokesman also reported that I’Tops will offer opinionated lines. If these reports prove true this will be a significant change in the way this sportsbook conducts business. |

interesting.
Played there a few years ago. Very nice book. And with higher limits they could be real great for football! |

I would give them another look if this proves to be true.

All the SBR'ers were sitting talking about our Lines product when a fellow sat down and introduced himself as an Intertops guy. We didn't tell him who we were, he thought we were just posters. A real nice guy who told us all about Intertops plan to go after sharps and everyone else. I was really shocked, this guy was talking about taking on Oly and CRIS.
I'll believe it when I see it but Wow! Rock on! |

I might go back there and if true Intertops could vault into the top 10 because the backbone is there already.

Have one question regarding this raising limits issue. The topic was posted over a year ago. Has something really changed in the way of limits? And I mean soccer. I have heard of people being cut to 20$ per wager regardless of the event and the line. Has anybody tried soccer with them wagering 100$-500$ stakes for a reasonable period?

I don't see it lasting or why they would want to do it, but I guess we will see.

The intertops i know sucks, all they have is their long time reputation that some whales obviously still buy. I wont even believe it when i see it, those guys will never take on sharps. |

This thread was from August 05.
They hired one of the guys from the famed Computer Group, Glen W. That group has another ex-memeber running a book that we all know as Pinnacle. Anyway, he told us in Vegas that they were going up on DonBest, raising limits, blah blah. They apparently reconsidered and who could blame them? They are a legacy book being one of the first on the net. They have a cult like following that I never could understand. |

Here's my recent experience with Intertops. I've been a customer for 2+ years, never had an issue (except for 2-3 days to process a payout). I requested a payout last month for $3k. After 1 week, nothing. So I call and I'm told "photo ID is required for any payouts $5k+ in 1 month, new Antigua law." (I had another payout earlier last month for $3k.) That's how I find out my payout is being delayed, no email, no phone call, nothing. So, I send them my ID and utility bill, then nothing. After another phone call and another delay, I finally get my payout 15 calendar days after my request. That was enough to convince me to avoid this book. Just one guy's experience.

Thanks for the report Ocko. We dont get many slow pay reports from players there but someone dropped the ball in your case. Their CS was not very good in the early days, when if you were one of the first books, you didnt need any. It can still be spotty.

Thanks for the heads up Punchmaster. Although I would hope most folks take more than 14 days to complete a 8x rollover. |

I meant as a new customer, the first time you request a withdrawal there is a 2 week waiting period, not 2 weeks from when you first open account, at least that's how I understood it. Here: "3.9 As a new customer at Intertops.com, your very first withdrawal will be subject to a 14 day waiting period. This applies to customers once they have wagered. Customers may be asked to provide identification when requesting a payout" Ahh, maybe I got it wrong, 14 days from your first wager and perhaps not 14 days from your first withdrawal request. |

14 days from your first wager would be alright with me, but not 14 days from your first withdrawal request...

I used Intertops about a year and a half ago; eventually they cut my limits to under $100/event and I had to leave, but they took a very reasonable amount of time doing so. Given they are not a book for pros and the things I was doing, I'm actually proud of how long they held out. As for CS and delaying withdraws and not updating you, I had experience with that too, but I was paid in full - it just took a few more days. I actually e-mailed them when I saw the going-pro post to ask if they were going to let me return; I never got a reply.

Intertops is a solid C+ but not anything more, real generic, lousy software

Punch I think its from the first wager. Thats how most books work it.
You're right on the software JJ. Actually, its hard to learn because no other book has anything like them. Once you figure out how it works its not half bad. OK, well maybe it is half bad but tolerable. |

Also after I called them by phone they raised my soccer limits to 550 Euro again (not much but enough to meet the roll over requirements for any bonus). In US sports their limits change from time to time (from 275 to 2200 Euro). I should mention that if the odds are new sometimes one can only place 110 Euro but shortly before the start of the games the limits raise somewhat. |

https://www.intertops.com/sportsbook...ECTION2&lan=de If I change language to English it shows a 8x roll over. Earlier also in German there was a 8x roll over, but it seems they have changed it. An e-mail to the customer service may help if the new 4x roll over is also valid for non german customers. Last edited by kiwi; 10-30-06 at 05:35 PM.. |
