Wow, where do you live? I have city wide at Houston YMCA's and I pay $112/month. No shit. It's the family rate, plus I have a locker and they supply clothing (jock, socks, short's and shirt). I keep my shoes in the locker and don't have to bring any clothes. The best part of the Y is they have free child care. I can drop the little one off and work out while they have activities for him.

50 dollars a month at Gold's Gym. I haven't been since early November 2009, I will let my membership run out in May. I have started working out again, just outside, instead of at the gym. It will be hot soon, so I will be in limbo again.

I wanted to clarify here. Mine is same type of deal. No pool, no courts.
They got steam room and sauna though. (which I never use)
You guys who are paying heavy fees better be getting some really good perks.

Did you drink too much before you signed up or signed your contract at the bar? That sounds unreasonable even for Bill Gates.

Some people sign up for a gym for other reasons than exercising. If you want to hook up with wealthy hynas you have to pay the price and sign up at an upscale gym eventhough you can work out at the YMCA for much less.

Must be some sort of private\social club or golf spot or something like that.
You dont pay that for a gym membership anywhere.
unless the wealthy "hynas" walk around naked. Then I would pay it.
